Team Saxo Bank has partly ended their cooperation with Damsgaard. He will no longer perform tests since Saxo Bank thinks that the UCI tests are enough. Instead, Damsgaard will only analyze UCI's test results. |

In other words, they got caught bribing an anti doping person to overlook test results, and so have hurriedly cut ties to prevent an "outroar".

First of all Damsgaard will still be having a look at the tests done by UCI, so they are not exactly cutting all ties are they? Secondly if there were to be an "uproar", wouldn't it have been there allready. Saxo Bank were hardly hiding the fact that they had given Damsgaard a bike. They saw it as a gift but admitted that it was a stupid mistake. Maybe it was just that.

Saxo Bank have always been saying that Damsgaard would end his testing once the UCI's testing was at the same level as Damsgaards. According to Nygaard, that time has come. Still, it's of course remarkable that this happens just a few days after the Belhage - Damsgaard fight.
So, as it is new, Damsgaard is more of an internal warning-man to tell Bjarne if anything suspicious occurs in the Saxo Bank-blood values. Prevention.
Never.

Actually, they said it was payment for extra work. Damsgaard performed some tasks that were not included in the original agreement. |
