I'm in search of a new laptop and want to find one that can play PCM well. What would the best laptops be to play it with? Also I'm kinda on a budget so I'm looking for something under $2000. Thanks |

I guess the main feature you should look out for is the graphics card as the latest PCM has pushed the graphic detail up!
One with 512MB dedicated memory should work fine with the maximum definitions but you have to choose which one would fit your needs

Also, RAM is cheap these gays so be sure to have 4GB of RAM.

With 2000$ you buy such a laptop. But you can buy one with just a little less and save 700 or 800$. For example, let's pick Asus, who has, comparing to the other major brands, the best quality/price relation.
You have this one here:
https://www.amazon...mp;sr=1-25
But you can always pick something slightly worse and save 700$. The difference between a 1200$ and a 1900$ one, is almost nothing.
Oh, and check the new LG's. Personally, I don't like the design, but you can think it's cool.

Do you know if the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 graphic card would work? |

It would, I guess. But it wouldn't for 2009. Its a bad graphics card. |

1. tip
take one like my laptop
1) enough ventilation
2) 4gb Ram
3)a high graphical card ATI mobility radeon ( mine is 512 mb non - shared and 1279 mb shared) = in total 1791 mb
4) a very good processor ( preferrable 2.5 ghz dual core and higher)
5) a good brand like Asus/Acer
that are the most important
prevent hangovers --> stay drunk
pozzato, basically the most stupid cyclist around
RIP WW. Gone but not forgotten

My Asus has:
4Gb Ram DDR2
GeForce 9650GT GDDR2 (1gb dedicated, around 2200mb in total)
C2D T9400
And an awesome image quality, image modes (for theather, games, etc), webcam, air ionizer, bluetooth, and so many stuff I didn't even discovered yet. And I got mine for 1050€, so you can probably get it for a similar price or even cheaper.
LG s510 is a good option as well:
The same specifications than Asus N50VN (mine), but with 4Gb Ram DDR3 instead of DDR2 (who can be good, or bad. If you want to expand it in the future, probably DDR3 memories will be more expensive, but if you pretend to stay with 4GB, DDR3 will get you better performance.
It has also a 9600GT, but GDDR3, who, thinking that the only difference between a normal 9600GT and 9650GT is in the clock speed, this one would be slighty better, but it only has 512mb dedicated, so, it's up to you to check this.
Also, the LG design can be weird...

Just be sure: Do you have space for a desktop? It would make a lot more sense if you bought a high-end desktop and a rather small laptop. It'd cost the same as one high-end laptop, but it'd be a lot better. |

Yep, you get around 500 % better performance for the same amount of money.
I wish I could do like you, but unfortunately, I don't have space for a desktop where I live (or, well, I do, but I don't think that my girlfriend agrees ) |
