Today is the last mountain stage of the Giro and if there’s not again a big upset from the break there’s no way pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2024/Micros/pum.png Herklotz will lose nearly 5 minutes today to lose the GC lead.

The long downhill section at the start of the stage and the last reasonable chance for a breakaway win resulted in a long and fierce fight for the break. It took 40 km until a group of 26 is allowed to get away:
