After something weird happened to my Barlo career I decided to go PT this time
A debuting team in the Pro Tour, these are the names and stats:
Jose Rujano is without a doubt our leader, here is our 'GT plan'
Giro D'Italia: Jose Rujano, Baden Cooke, Matteo Carrara and Marco Zanotti will ride here for sure with Rujano going for a top 5 ranking and Zanotti and Cooke trying to get a win in the sprints
Tour de France: Jose Rujano, Baden Cooke, Jimmy Casper, Arnaud Coyot will ride here for sure, Rujano will again be our leader but in case this fails he will go for the KOM jersey. Casper is our main sprinter with Cooke as his assistant.
Vuelta a Espana: Jimmy Casper, Luis Pasamontes, Victor Hugo Pena and maybe Carrara will ride here...Casper for the sprints while the rest has a free role
And here are the goals:
-> Win the GP D'Ouverture la Marseillaise
-> Win a stage in the KBC 3 daagse van de Panne
-> Top 5 in Gent-Wevelgem
-> Top 10 in the Tour de Suisse
-> Top 3 in the Eneco Tour de Benelux
Now up next, the Tour Down Under classic and the Tour itself
Dwight K. Schrute: 'I'm not a hero. Im just a mere defender of the office. You know who is a hero? Hiro from Heroes. That's a hero. And Bono'.

Tour Down Under Classic
A race were nothing is at stake since the real tour begins tommorow, Baden Cooke didn't feel the need to start here but tommorow he will replace someone else to start in the Tour Down Under, lots of breaks are caught by the Milram train, this time working for Sacchi but in the final 15 km's lots of riders still want to break away, Eichler counters on of them and unlike others his attack lasts long and he must have super legs today but is he able to stay in front of the sprinters in the streets of Adelaide?
Left: Eichler attacks! Right: First race first win! Great win by Eichler!

Tour Down Under, 5 Stages:
Everyone has a free role in this tour...even in the sprints Hunt, Cooke and Eichler may all sprint for their own chances
Stage 1, Mawson Lakes - Tanunda:
The first stage in the Tour Down Under and the sprinters wouldn't be fooled, however guys such as Aitken, Thorsen, Usov and Rodriguez couldn't handle CSC'S hard pace over the hills and so we have a small bunchsprint with the pack excisting out of 77 riders only. Stuart O'Grady is here to show off his Australian Champ jersey and starts the sprint early, Petacchi comes close while Cooke is locked up but it is Stuart O'Grady who takes the first stage whilst Jeremy Hunt surprises friend and foe by ending 3rd
Left: O'Grady takes some risk, Right: O'Grady shows why he is the Australian Champion!
Result:
1. Stuart O'Grady TEAM CSC 4h02'27
2. Alessandro Petacchi TEAM MILRAM s.t.
3. Jeremy Hunt UNIBET.COM s.t.
4. Matthew Goss TEAM CSC s.t.

23 Darren Lapthorne DRAPAC PORSCHE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM s.t.
24 Fabrizio Guidi BARLOWORLD s.t.
25 Mirko Lorenzetto TEAM MILRAM s.t.
Stage 2, Mannum - Hahndorf:
Today it's get a bit more difficult and since Cooke and Hunt might not make it past these climbs we choose to attack...On the first climb of the day alot of attacks are placed but a Colombian is way stronger than the rest. Rigoberto Uran rides up front alone for a long time but on the 2nd climb it is Anthony Charteau who helps him out, behind him alot of guys try to join but fail
Left: These Australian hills are nothing for Uran! Right: Uran and Charteau up front
Uran and Charteau work together and even though all the chases are caught these 2 stay up front, the young Colombian is nervous and wants to keep his lead...by doing this he eliminates his winning chances unfortunately...
Left: Uran starts the sprint with the Frenchman luring behind him, Right: Anthony Charteau takes the stage
Result:
1. Anthony Charteau CRÉDIT AGRICOLE 3h55'36
2. Rigoberto Úran UNIBET.COM s.t.

very nice podiums there especially with Hunt in a good field
was Hunt leading Cooke out or vice versa, or did they both just choose wheels |
