Many years ago, c. 5-6, just when WCW and WWF were 'united', it was on Danish television, and I was deeply fascinated by the 'sport' /action / whatever with Goldberg being the top of it all. It was also the 'age' of Booker T, Natural Born Killers, Sting, Lex Luger, etc.
However, with the union of WCW and WWF to WWE, I guess the Danish tv-companies thought that had become too expensive compared to the amount of viewers, so they stopped sending it.
But from today, it's back. A new channel was launched on the 1st of January, "A channel for men" is their slogan.
And somehow, I'm still fascinated by it, although I'm not in anyway into who's the current stars and such. So I was wondering: Are there anyone else watching it? |

We have here a chanel with that slogan too. Maybe there is a conection between them. Anyway talking about wrestling, I used to watch it a few years ago but then it became a little bit borring.

I hate wrestling, but I do have to note that it is hilarious that the WWF had to change to the WWE because the World Wildlife Fund was unhappy with the WWF stealing their acronym. |

To try and divert the attention, they immediately sued some pornstar for using a name too similar to the one of one of the wrestlers.....and further embarrassed themselves when it turned out the porn guy had the name decades before, AND had registered it as a trademark, which the wrestler didn't.
That part was funny. |

Ha Crue... We thought the same thing... I saw the first thirty minutes of the "show" today. It reminds me of a bad yet entertaining movie.
But to save my integrity i had cleansed my mind by watching a Bruce Lee movie beforehand.

I just realized that I created this thread. Just to clarify, the 'fascination' was more the fact that it was a 'childhood memory'. Watching it today ... wow, the acting sucks  |

I believe i said it like 7 months ago in this thread but Raw is an entertaining B-movie. Go do the only reasonable thing and find a way to watch Smackdown! instead

i used to watch wrestling when i was a kiddie now i just take and watch smackdown when i am in the mood or bored because the show is quite entertaining .

Tbh i prefer ufc but now setanta is bust where will ufc end up on tv i hope sky sports. I got tired of wrestling several years ago. |

yeah ufc is really great....but in germany DSF only shows ufc fights which are older than a month or sothats why i download the episodes like i did with the wwe(raw,ecw,smackdown)every week, i've about 200gb of wrestling shows on my pc.Every episode since march of the last year...but now as i said i prefer to watch the ufc cause in wrestling it's all fake |

Oh noes wrestling is fake, we must all go to another thing to watch people that are less entertaining give each other actual beatings.
Nah, when it comes to real fightsports, i prefer asian K-1 over UFC.
Screw that wrestling is fake, its great entertainment!

K1 and UFC are not entertaining to me K1 Max is nice they can hit with elbows blood everywhere

I did not say that wrestling isn't a good entertaining,it is. I just said that it isn't real fighting so it is fake and you have to admit that the fights doesn't look that realistic |

Even though people call professional wrestling fake I watch it every monday, friday, and PPV of the year. People dont understand that it is watched for the entertainment and not always for violence. I mean right now the WWE has something very good going with CM Punk and John Cena. Anyone else been watching recently?
