Strange they still call it Dakar, i think it's because it's a trademark
French TV commentators call it the "Dakargentina" B)

Don't know if it's live on the net, but for TVs, you can see it on :
TV2 for Denmark
RTL7 for Netherlands
TV2 Sporten for Norway

Yeah, its not vieuwable live I found out but RTL is indeed broadcasting it multiple times a day.
And the Dutch are doing good espeically in the Trucks with only Hans Stacey having some tire problems.
But there seem to be many many teams having tire problems in the 'fes fes'. This french motorguy who was one of the favourite, rides in a blue suit... forgot his name... anyway, he had to ride without the rubber part of his tire the 2nd stage and now the 3rd stage he again couldnt go faster then 60km/h.
One dutch motorrider said, after 400km you just cant go more then 1/2 to 3/4 throttle or you'll ruin your tire.
But I must say the Argentina - Chille part is just as much fun - if not more - then Africa. Although the finish isnt in Daker |

I think ASO really manage to do something cool in Argentina Chile, and it's gonna be a very hard rally. I just saw they are going at 4700m in the Andes, during a stage ! it change a lot from the past rallies, discovering something new from what we've seen in Africa
EDIT : You can find all the Dakar broadcasters here

That was him, yes!
And the 4700m will indeed be a serious test. All drivers will have to pass a medical test before starting the stage, and motors have to be adjusted to the air. |

The french motorcyclist Pascal Terry has been found dead after he has been missing for 3 days, he was lying 15 meters away from his bike with water and food besides him. May he rest in peace

This is bad news! I hope these events which reoccur every year to come to an end. Rest in peace Terry. |

And more bad new for the rally: Many got stuck today. So many, that they had to neutralise the stage. |
