Have you looked at the guide with the game for using the stage editor?

It's a PDF called stageeditor_tutorial_en.

If you haven't, I guess that would be a good place to start.

The stage editor (and tutorial) is (as I would phrase it) "wack".

It'd be better in my opinion to hand type in the code/copy paste the "route" bit of each profile entry and enter the rest by hand.

To understand that, open a normal stage. The profile bits:

<profile>
<section length="LENGTH" slope="GRADIENT" />
<arrival />
</profile>

I'd copy the section length line, paste about 50 times, and then change the LENGTH and GRADIENT to what I wanted rather than use the RSM Profiler.
