It’s a mountainous day in Austria which means that we’re going to see a showdown between Preidler and Gall.
With 11km to the line Paulus starts the party as everyone follows.
3km later Preidler decides to make what looks like the decisive move, but who knows he might have cooked himself!
Gall gets contact as Preidler has him in a rubber band but with 4km to go he’s still hanging on.
Preidler makes a massive move with 3km to the finish line leaving Gall in the dust!
And that proved to be decisive despite Gall’s best efforts of sticking as close as possible to the experienced Aker rider it’s Preidler that gets to ride in the Austrian colours next year!

Back in the day no one were able to stop Brändle from laying claim to the NC title but it’s Hofer who is the top favourite today. Young gun Gamper might have to wait another year to claim the title.
