How Does R&D Work?

Junior Rider Posts: 48 Joined: 09-05-2007 PCM$: 200.00	After many years of only playing Pro Cyclist, I'm so rusty at most aspects of Career Mode... Could anyone please explain when and why should I choose full research vs minor changes? Linking a guide or tutorial would be fine to me, as long as it's still up to date. I've done some googling but haven't found anything. Thanks in advance.
