Welcome to Finland for the June sprint classic - Hanko Classic. Here at IESN1 we will provide full coverage on the 201 km event across the penninsula across the Baltic Sea. This course is also familiar to riders competing in the Baltic Chain Tour. And we've looked at some of our pre-race favorites, but what does our panelists says?

Well, if this isn't surprising - the panel gives Konychev the nod here along with Dainese and Halvorsen. The preview favorit Groenewegen has been given lower chances than usual. But who will win today, we will find out after the finish line as we hand over the commentary duties from the Hanko Classic

Hello, from Hanko - here it is a sunny day indeed. And we are looking forward to give you coverage of the 201 km sprint race.

And we have our first attack, consisting of Verre, Potocki and Verona.

After that we have a group of four - Bulux, Tjotta, Picolo and Kamzon, trying to join the 3 at the front. Behind them are more riders trying to break away from the peloton.

The first 2 groups join up and 4 other riders - Behre, Ryan, McCambridge and Van Heerden, also join, forming an 11-rider breakaway group. This is by far the largest group we at IESN1 have followed

Würth's Vangheluwe is desperately trying to join the lead group of 11

The breakaway is over 5 minutes ahead of the peloton. Vangheluwe had already lost contact with the break and he'd have to brace for a long lonely ride before he gets reeled in the peloton.

And the Belgian's solo ride comes to an end - the peloton is now staring to decrease the gap

The gap is now around the 4-minute mark. It is more than likely that the peloton will catch them before the final lap

The teams with the top sprinters are doing the heavy lifting in the peloton

With 90 km left the break holds a lead of less than 3 minutes

Let's see the situation in the break - Lierse, Glanbia, Bralirwa and Simba have 2 riders each, while Gjensidige, Saeco and Manda have one each. The gap now is less than 2 minutes

The leading pack is trying to maintain whatever gap has been left

And with less than 20 km from the finish line the breakaway is almost caught

And Dzamastagic, who finished 4th last year is trying his luck with a surprise attack. Varga is also there for the ride - will we see a repeat of Köln several weeks ago?

Oh my! This was an outcome no one saw coming - Indosat had outsmarted all with Malaysia's Mohamad Izzat Hilmi Abdul Halil is the winner of the day. No one had predicted he will be in the Top 20, let alone on the top of the mountain. Elias Afewerki finishes 2nd for Colombini which would be helpful in their quest for survival, while Sony - Force India will be happy with the 3rd place of Vesely

Down in the standings Liepins just misses out on the podium as is Bonifazio. Kamberaj finishes 6th beating top sprinters such as Manninen, who is just 8th this time and Halvorsen, whose boss over at DK Zalgiris would certainly not be happy with his 10th place

The preview favorite Groenewegen is all the way down in 18th. Last year's winner - Coutinho, is one place ahead of him.

This will be a day to remember for Mohamad Izzat Hilmi Abdul Halil as this is a win no one expected.
