The flat stage yesterday hopefully recharged the GC men as they're in for a challenge today. Twice up the Etna to finish on the summit at the second go. Dombrowski has had the edge on the climbs to his competitors but he's still trailing Haig in the GC ever since the ITT. Will today's stage see a turnaround or can the GC leader keep his jersey for another day? Or will someone else make a challenge for the top spot in what should be an exciting stage.

Vine, Prado
Van Baarle, Chamorro, Chaiyasombat

15 km from the first summit, and we're already losing riders from the break! Johannessen and Nych are the first to be dropped.
Vingegaard, Perez, Bouchard and Rucigaj are dropped a couple of kilometers later.
Bongiorno and Agrotis are the next to lose contact.
Van Baarle, Vine, Battistella, Ardila, Zwiehoff and Rodriguez suffer the same fate some time later.
Schmid is dropped 6 km from the summit.
Then it's Vosekalns, Chamorro, Fouche and Chaiyasombat to fall away.
1 km from the KOM. Mamykin and Zimmermann can't hang on, leaving just four riders in the lead group.
Pinot wins the KOM sprint followed by Blums, Prado and Nesset. Mamykin, Zimmermann and Chamorro is the order after that.
Mamykin and Zimmermann make it back to the lead group on the descent.
Prado wins the intermediate sprint ahead of Pinot, Nesset, Mamykin and Zimmermann.
25 km to go as the six man break start the climb to the finish. All the other breakaway riders have been caught by the peloton, who trail by 1 minute.
Godoy, Amezawa and Hirt attack from the pack with 17 km to go.
Godoy is caught with 13 km to go.
The other pair of attackers and the break are caught with 11 km left.
Bennett is the next to attack. 8 km to go and the pack is down to 21 riders. All of the big names are still here.
Dombrowski doesn't hang around and attacks just a kilometer later. Bennett was caught already.
Haig knows he can't let this go and counters. Bennett tries to follow.
Foss has been dropped from the group, and so has all of the break, with Pinot being the last to be distanced.
Haig and the chase group catch Dombrowski with 4 km to ride. Godoy, Giannoutsos and Amezawa have been dropped. Rodrigues and Stussi are also getting distanced.
Bennett and Shikai are dropped next.
Carthy is dropped with 3 km to go. Galta and Hirt cant hang on to the leading duo either.
Haig is dropped with 2 km remaining!
Dombrowski leads by 11 seconds as we reach the Red Kite. This is still not enough to take the jersey though!
Dombrowski though isn't taking no for an answer, his lead jumps to 20 seconds with 500 meters remaning. Unless Haig can make a huge comeback, we will see the Maglia Rosa back on the American's shoulders.
Dombrowski takes stage win number 3 of this year's Giro. Now we wait for Haig to confirm the GC leadership.
No doubts about the fact that Haig is 2nd today.
Galta takes 3rd ahead of Hirt (sorry missed the picture).
Carthy takes 5th, with Bennett in 6th and Shikai 7th.
Rodrigues is 8th followed by Stussi.
Godoy and Amezawa will both be disappointed with 10th and 11th, respectively. Giannoutsos is 12th.
Mas edges out Gregaard for 13th. Foss is 15th.
Today's winner - Joseph Dombrowski.
Haig finished 36 seconds behind Dombrowski which gives the latter a 24 second lead at the top of the GC, including today's bonus seconds. Galta stays in 3rd, with Hirt displacing Shikai into 4th.
The only other leadership change is in the U25s where Fouche takes over at the top.
