Individual Rankings
JJ Haedo has come out on top of the individual rankings! The Slipstream rider scored 12 wins across 5 races - including overall victory in the Tour d'Egypte, as well as scoring points in 5 others. A feature of the top 10 for a while, he had never led the Individual standings - until winning it on the final stage of the final race!
Tom Danielson will no doubt be disappointed with 2nd. Atlhough winning Vuelta al Tachira did not give him the lead, he got it after the 3rd race of the season by winning the Vuelta al Ciclista Peru. Points in the Vuelta al Pais Vasco and victory in the Tour de Georgia consolidated his lead but after holding it for 46 races, he briefly lost the lead to Edvald Boasson Hagen. Reclaimed after 3rd overall in the Vuelta a Venezuela but in the end it was not quite enough.
Edvald Boasson Hagen rounds off the podium. He took overall wins in the stage races in Dunkerque, and Slovenia, while Kanton Aargau was his only one day success. A consistent points scorer, he had chances to win the title, but couldnt quite take them. It will be interesting to see how he does in the ProTour next season!
An awesome June is what saw Angel Vicioso take 4th in the rankings - he won both the Volta Ciclista al Leida and the Euskal Bizkleta. A stage win in the Giro del Capo was his other good result.
5th, 6th and 7th are all Champion riders: Aleksandr Efimkin, Jose Chacon, and Aitor Perez Arrieta. Efimkin won the Vuelta al Pais Vasco, Chacon won the Japan Tour, while Perez Arrieta was a consistent classics performer - winning 3 of them!
Winning the Tour of Hellas, plus stage wins in Langkawi, Georgia and Montjuic got 8th for Pluchkin. Another champion rider, Jimmy Casper, took 9th thanks to the Tour of Ireland victory, while Heinrich Haussler rounds out the Top 10 - he won the Bikeline 2-Day.
Last years winner Fabian Wegmann could only manage 58th.

Team Rankings
Although Champion, Fed-Ex and Slipstream led precedings to start with, once B&O got the lead, they did not look back. 3 overall Stage races and 4 one day classic victorys plus a whole load more strong results sees them win the title by over 300 points to their nearest rivals.
With four riders in the Top 10, it's clear that Champion had a strong set up, but they had to fight all the way to take the 2nd promotion spot. They scored 3 overall stage races and 5 one day classics and although unable to live up to their name and become Champions, they are well and truly promoted.
A big well done goes to LA/MSS/Pearl Jam. Nobody thought that they would finish 3rd in the standings and come oh so close to promotion! pedruh really turned the team around - 17th last season is but a distant memory for the reformed team. They won 2 Stage races and 4 classics.
4th once again were Procycling-BBC. They may not have any big riders (Wiggins was their best ranked in 27th) but with 11 in the Top 100, they show that consistency sure does help and that you dont need to be good in the mountains to get promoted (They were only 200 points away from 2nd place). They took 3 stage races and 2 classics.
Rounding out the Top 5 were White Beear Steyr, despite Kohl's injury in Venezuela. The Austrian still gave them their only overall victories, Subida a Urkiola and the Volta Portugal.
Fed-Ex were unable to bounce back to the ProTour in 6th. An over reliance on Tom Danielson was ultimately their downfall. IrnBru takes 7th - halving their ranking from last year - and also improving by 7 places were the stars of the early season, Slipstream. They have the indiviual title this year - and perhaps promotion next year?
Molteni did well to get into the top 10 with even less big names than Procycling. Their consistency on the European circuit certainly helped them. Rounding out the Top 10 were Wiggle, who saved their best til last in Burkina Faso.
Also, well done to Sony Ericsson B, who won the battle of the Bs by nearly 100 points. Thanks largely to Manuele Mori

Dont be too disheartened, you did after all do it solely with riders that nobody else wanted, since you joined after the transfers. With some good deals, you will surely rank much higher next year. |

Have no fear, I am encouraged that I did not lose to any B-teams and was for a while in the top 15...I am very eager for transfer season. |

Great job on a great season SN (and Crommy for the PT - sorry for putting you in brackets )
Next season is going to be unbelievably close and I'm so glad I'm not going to be part of it, as it will be too much for me to handle. There are at least 6 teams in contention as it looks right now, but of couse a lot will change during the off-season.

Thanks but I don't think I'll have a shot next year. I got lucky in numerous races this year, I don't think it will happen again next year. Plus with Rodrigues leaving and all... But thanks anyway.
