Last season was a very hard season for the team, definitely the worst season in this team's history. And for the first time in the team's history the title sponsor will leave after less than 3 seasons with the team. Huski Chocolate's adventure in cycling will end after only two years as the sponsors were not happy with last year's results and as a result decided not to extend their sponsorship.
Usually this is very bad news for any cycling team, but it doesn't look like that to us as this gave us the opportunity to bring a major Dutch sponsor on board. THE Dutch cycling sponsor: Rabobank. Even though they might not have a rich history in the Management Game, with brief periods of sponsorhips for different teams, either as a main one or as a secondary one (even for our team in the past), Rabobank have always been a proeminent player in the world of cycling and we are happy to finally have them with us as title sponsors.
Rabobank are in it for the long game and are looking to build a strong team for the future, which means that they are not looking for quick results which is perfect for our current position. Remco Evenepoel is believed to be the man around which the future of the team will be built on, but the 3 big stars of Formolo, Grosu and Gerts should be set to continue with the team for at least another year. Gerts' place in the team should be the safest one since Rabobank will surely want the best Dutch rider in their team. The team's focus will remain on the Benelux area, which while it wasn't neglected in the last seasons, it wasn't exactly a priority either.
Andrelon, a Dutch shampoo company, will join as secondary sponsors, which is why the blue in the clasical scheme of orange-white-blue of Rabobank was changed to a purple shade on the jersey. Jack Wolfskin, perhaps the most iconic name in our team's history, will also join as clothing manufacturers, while Bianchi will stay on as bike suppliers.
You can checkout the 2023 jersey of the team in the spoiler below.

God no, we already had a bad history with crashes when they were enabled. Now with Rabobank as title sponsors we would stand no chance.

Definitely here for classic Rabobank jersey and sponsor and interested in how the team approach the off-season after a tough one last year. Remco is an exciting piece for the future and his coming wage drop must be exciting for the present too

Lovely to have Rabobank back! Excited to see how you approach the transfer season, seeing your text on Gerts, Formolo and Grosu. Fingers crossed you get work to do in the transfer season

Not sure how much Remco's wage will drop since the last time I had a talent of this level in Mohoric I insulted him by not offering enough and ended up releasing him the year after signing him.
With Remco's wage still probably at a pretty high level, it will be hard to let go of Gerts, Formolo or Grosu and find replacements that still give us a shot of staying up for another year so that's why I'm thinking all three will stay.
I'll be looking to trim down some of the fat so there'll surely be something to do in the transfer window. Even if it just signing 50k domestiques

Nice that your jersey isn't as orange as ours

Silly me only looked at the existing PT colors when making the shirt. Still, should be enough purple on mine to be able to distinguish each other.

Amazing consistency in the team's PT results since 2011, hats off for that. A tiny bit worse this year with Gerts not performing as you hoped, but also while paying a huge amount of you wage to Evenepoel. Hope you can manage to improve your team a bit with the wage (possibly) coming free, and find a nice way to improve your squad then. Also looking forward to the battle of the oranges versus Cedevita

It's almost the most beautiful time of the year for the MG World and as always what comes before that are the renewals. The good news is that all of the riders that we wanted to continue 100% with us agreed to sign a new contract. The bad news is that 4 riders joined the Free Agency market. Well, bad for us, it might turn out to be good for them.
Two of the four riders leaving were not offered a new contract by the team. Both Rafel Majka and Maurits Lammertink have been very important pieces in our squad for the last few years, but both are now in twilight of their career and all parties agreed that it was time to stop our collaboration. Majka's heroic Giro d'Italia stage wins will always be part of our team's aura.
The two other riders who are leaving the team are Oscar Rodriguez and Valerio Conti. Both enjoyed successful seasons with the team in the past, but last year saw a drop in performance from both of them. As a result, the team didn't offer them as much money as before, but no agreements was met with either of them as they were not exactly keen on taking a pay cut.

Looks like you've cleared up enough space to bring in another leader, even if Remco is still demanding an arm and a leg! Excited to see who you bring in.

I guess a quiet season is on the cards for you in terms of transfers, losing Conti and Rodriguez to free agency is obviously not ideal but you have enough space and a strong enough leadership group that there really shouldn't be any sweat for you in terms of replacing them.
