Are there any PCM DB wizards still around on the forum that can help me. I'm usually pretty good at fixing these problems myself, but I've been away from PCM for a few months and have recently comeback and noticed why I stepped away for a while in the first place.
In my Diamonds in the Rough save game, I'm currently stuck at the 2026 RR World Championships. When I go to start the stage, it loads up but only the Great Britain team is at the start line. The entire stage can be played with only my team competing.
As much as I want Marcus Diamond to win his first rainbow jersey, that's not exactly how I want him to do it
Any ideas on what is going wrong and where I should be looking in the database to fix this problem? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
That's an odd one DYN_National_Team would be the first place I'd look at. See if anything stands out there about GB. Do all teams in the list have a non-zero number in gene_i_num_cyclist_WC? Maybe most importantly, given that it's the date of the WC, I would assume that they should have 175 (or whatever the ID of Worlds is in the DB you're using) in fkIDrace. From what you're describing, it could be that for some reason, only GB has a value in that column?
If that table doesn't provide any help, it gets tricky because national teams don't behave like other teams. Maybe check gene_i_selected_nat_team in DYN_cyclist, in case something went wrong in the nomination process? If all else fails, and given it's for story purposes, you could build a new cdb with the DYN_cyclist from your save file and play Worlds in one-off race mode. Could be doable without too much effort since the database doesn't have to be perfect, just good enough to be able to play a one-off race. But maybe something else works out.
Thanks for the suggestions! All the national teams have riders assigned to them and the riders do have World Champs selected as their current race. So it's not that, sadly. I'm starting to think it has to do with team/rider limits for each race. Does anybody know what those limitations are for the game?
The stage file would have been my guess, too. Maybe try a different file or - if possible - check the currently selected file (something like the stage is set to TTT instead of road race or stuff like that).
The stage file didn't seem to matter. Whatever stage I changed it to, the same problem occurred. So, after hours of tinkering with the DB, I have decided to give up and skip over the date. Hopefully, it's just a one-off thing and the national teams will fix themselves when I flip the game over to the next season.
