As is already known, the 2022 World Championships will take place on a course with a Flat Cobbles route.
Four different locations were carefully selected by the MGUCI for managers to vote on:
Arenberg, 258.4 km:
Groningen, 248.4 km:
Stange, 240.8 km:
Chester, 251.1 km:
The TT and TTT courses will be along the lines of the selected profile.
Deadline: 14th May, 23:59:59 PM, Daily Time.
Thanks to everyone who nominated routes and helped getting the profiles ready.

All great routes, but Norway looks fun

Especially on cobbles, I would caution against short laps because screenshots can get pretty messy with lapped riders, so Arenberg is out for me. Chester might be fine, but could have the same problem later on, even if the course looks really nice. So it's between Groningen and Stange for me.

Strange looks nice but is a bit short for me, WCs need to be around 260K imo.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Sticking by my suggestion to bring the Worlds at long long long last to the Netherlands. Groningen, nice simple route, will lean more towards those with a fast finish but could be open enough with crosswinds to all some attacks to shake things up. We haven't been to a truly traditional cycling country for the Worlds since 2012, long long over due!
Then set-up a Scandi Worlds next year on a really fun and dramatic Hills course

Stange with a flat rated cobbles race looks great! Though, do we know what difficulty the cobbles have on each profile? I assume Arenberg will be very difficult, but do we know the rating/difficulty the other profiles will have on their cobble sections? |

Norway and GB for me aren't really flat races, both ending (slightly) uphill and having some hills underway. So to favor Swiss top cobbler Spengler, I went for Netherlands. Guess it will be my first WC RR without a single rider of mine in it

Some notes based on the comments above:
First stage credit - Arenberg is by Wings. The other three are all my routes where someone else did the hard work of creating the ZCTS, they are all very nicely detailed stages. Groningen comes from Selwink's Slag Om Norg, Stange from Il Lince's Glyne Gluter GP and Chester from the Mangame tour of Cheshire, not sure who built that originally.
I agree with Cunego that particularly Arenberg will have issues with lapped riders. There are only so many cobbled sections and this is the Worlds so a circuit is required to some degree and all 4 have some kind of circuit. The other three I purposely took the finish off the circuit so it is clean, for Chester and Groningen it is probably the last 10-20k. Stange only the last K or so but the circuit is pretty large there.
Gronining and Arenberg are red cobbles the other two one layer down. Chester has two main cobbled segments one is rated a 3 the other a 4. Mostly 3's on Stange, Groningen range from 2 to 5 with the main segments a 4 or 5.
All these races are rated flat in the game, I think the hills will have only a small impact and a rider like Spengler can still do well but I haven't tested them so I could be wrong.

The deadline is on 14th but one profile is running away with it. Still time to vote but if things don't change quickly, we'll call this a TKO and end it early.
