With just 7 races to go, the continental season is drawing to a close. B&O still lead and after having their lead reduced to less than 100 points after the Rund um den Nurnberger Alsadt, they have began to pull away again. With a lead of 238 over nearest challengers Champion, and 347 over LA/MSS/Pearl Jam - do they now have un unassailable hold of one of the promotion places?
Champion now hold a 109 point lead over Pearl Jam, and with more races to go too, it seems like an uphill struggle for the Portugese team. Procycling and White Bear Steyr currently hold the too remaining Top 5 places and the battle behind.
Less than 500 points separate the 6th place and 15th place teams. Its anyones guess in which order those 10 teams will come.

With 35 points separating the lead 4 riders, this could also go right down to the wire! Unlike last season, where Fabian Wegmann dominated. Incidentally, Wegmann is having a poor season, ranked just 55th, with 10 of his 35 race days wasted on the Tour du Faso, which is still to come.
Anyway, back to the battle for number 1. Tom Danielson leads on 550, Edvald Boasson Hagen has 541, Angel Vicioso is on 526, with Juan José Haedo on 515. Hagen and Vicioso have done the best out ot of the 4 considering they have 20 less race days to play with.
Danielson has all but led from the start, with victories in Tachira, Peru and the Tour de Georgia. He now has the Vuelta a Venezuela to come, and a good result good secure the title for him.
Hagen meanwhile will be taking on the Giro dell Emelia and Paris-Tours. He must aim to win at least one of those races to stand a chance. Angel Vicioso has just the 1 race left: the Escalada a Montjuich. Overall victory there could be enough..
Do not count out the 'outsider' JJ Haedo though. With potential victories in both Paris-Tours and the Tour du Faso - can he do it?

It's definitely within range now. Luckily I had two good races to round off september, so I bought myself a bit of a margin for error.
Also, Hagen still stands a nice chance eventhough things would have looked brighter had he won GP Plouay. Danielson will most likely score a lot of points in Venezuela, so it may not be possible after all, but he has definitely had a great season. Hagen that is

6th overall teams and only Haedo in the top 25 individual. That means everyone on Slipstream is scoring points.

Well Wiggle is PLUMETTING after a good early season. Here's to hoping that Usov can get over those flat roads in Faso to actually maybe get a top 3 finish on some stages. It's about all the hope I've got left. *weeps*

No way I'll get 100 points on Champion now. Especially since they are ridding the Vuelta a Venezuela (15 stages) and I'm not.

Yeah, but so is every other team. So if their main guy crashes in the first few stages, ya never know, may be a low scoring race for them.

Yeah, but even if that happens I still have to get the 100 points somewhere, and seeing as how we are ridding almost the exact same races from now on, I don't see how it's going to happen.
But hey, SotD said I would finish between 15th and 20th in the teams classification and I'm looking solid for a top-5 so I'm happy
