It's a day for the sprinters. The only question will be whether or not the final kilometres, which feature a slight uphill, will have an impact on the final result here.
We have numerous strong sprinters here. The likes of Alaphilippe may favour the slight uphill but we'll have to see whether the more pure sprinters can excel.
Culey takes the first intermediate sprint ahead of Kmieliauskas. Also with them are Christensen and Lietaer. They have a 2 minute gap to the Peloton.
Govekar and Mengoulas are 24 seconds behind the leading quartet.

15km now remaining and the gap is 6 minutes as some of the other teams have moved to the front of the Peloton.
10km and it looks like a tactical disaster for the Amaysim duo as the other 4 go off on the attack. Will they be able to drag themselves back into stage contention?

Mengoulas looks like he will be able to hold on as it's only bike lengths left now.
It's a stage win from the breakaway for Alex Mengoulas. He may not be an African rider but it's a great win for one of the few African Teams in World Cycling.
Govekar takes 2nd ahead of the fast-finishing Amaysim duo of Culey and Christensen. Lietaer is 5th with Kmieliauskas coming in last of the front group in 6th.
