A shorter and even easier day awaits the riders today. 5 more KOM points on offer and there is an uncategorised 'bump' near the finish. It should be another good day for the sprinters.
The first attack is initiated by Laizer who is followed by Yzeiraj and KOM leader Van Dijke.
Quispe and Erdenesuren join them, but it remains to be seen if these five can stay away.
Those five were brought back and after a series of counter attacks we are now already at the KOM. Manakov grabs 5 points ahead of Yzeiraj and Price-Pejtersen.
Larsen, Laizer and Batmunkh latch on to make it 6 riders in today's breakaway.
Batmunkh wins the intermediate sprint that is placed 90 km from the finish. The breakaway holds a 3 minute advantage.
The same three teams as yesterday are involved in the chasing.
The peloton led by Omarsson catches the breakaway with 9 km to go.
The more undulating terrain in the finish is having an impact on sprint preparation. Glanbia are the only team really set with 3 km to go. Scully is making the effort to follow them.
Can the Nelson-Bennett combo do better today? Scully and Gibbons are following them, but the rest of the sprinters are further back. 1.4 km left.
Bennett has to launch his sprint at 800 m. Guerao and Kanter are on their own behind, but Guardini is still being led by Domene.
Only 200 m left! Gibbons looks to be ahead, but Guardini is still going well thanks to his great lead out. Itami is making a late appearance here to fight for another podium spot.
Andrea Guardini wins the stage! Hooray for a great lead out by Caja Rural! Kanter finishes 2nd and Guerao shows yesterday was no fluke, he is in 3rd.
Itami was too late to do any more than 4th place today. Gibbons and Scully are 5th and 6th ahead of the failed lead out by Glanbia with Bennett 7th. The rest of the bonus seconds go to Boivin, Willwohl and Van Dijke.
Guerao retains his overall and points lead ahead of Guardini in both classifications. Van Dijke retains the KOM, but Kanter expectedly takes over the U25 ranking.
