Damn it's hard!
Balaverde
I've played the new PCM for some days now, and my first reaction is - the difficulty! Sprinting is the same as before, and flat stage are as easy as earlier. But when the terrain becomes hilly not to mention mountaneous - I'm gone!

Playing with Liquigas and Pozzato (on 68 fitness) I almost go red following Nocentini, Dessel and Mazzanti in Haut Var..

I think it really hard to get Valverde fit and in career is really hard to mak him win hilly classics!

Karl_rab
The flats are easy but i still cant get my place in the sprint.

playing on hard, i just manage to win some mountain stages. i won agains vino/valverde at monte zoncolan with simoni in stage mode. but the daily shape -5 or +5 is very important, i had +2 with simoni and i think valverde had a bad day. he fell off 3 km before finish.

the sprints are ok (hushovd FTW Smile )

Just take a teammate on the "dot" and 99%. Then follow him with your sprinter..
It works for me..

stemple
I have tried that but my guy doesn't seem to get me close enough to the other train, at what point (km) about do you put the guy on the dot. Can someone tell me if this form of the day is based on form and what you have done on past stages, or is it just arbitrary as it appears to me.

CrueTrue
Make sure that your rider has a high flat skill. Otherwise, he'll stand no chance.

I have a high flat skill man put him on relay's then follow him with my main sprinter, put him on dot at around 7.8kms to the finish and then he normally establishes a bit of a lead on the rest (or is at least level with them)

the most important thing is his flat stat though, and his sprint and acceleration, but not as muchWink

Addy: what fighting spirit! decreasing the difficulty for the mountains?

I play hard as well - and manage to get "above-average" results in flat as well as
hilly races. Shape and morale seems to be extremely important, daily form as well.

My performers are always "very good" or "over the moon".

Smoothie: either your sprinters are in terrible shape and morale, or you're playing really bad...

I'm playing at normal, and I'm having problems winning with my team on mountain stages.
He's got 75 and 78 in mountains and hills and he manages just 4th place in a mountain stage in TdF.

Balaverde
75 and 78? Is that mountain/hills? Those aren't super either. You need approx. 80
to reach top 5 in the Tour de France. I think that's fair enough.

But I agree - the mountain stages are alot tougher than the flat ones.

solution: Play PCM 2006 Pfft

i don't change down for mountains as i am fairly good at them, i am best at sprinting then fairly good at mountians, and pretty damn awful at hilly classicsPfft

Now after few months after starting a game with 07:
Havent met real mountains yet..but on hilly stages and sprint..you are absolutly right. Morale is big issue...If you come to the finish ..they show hoe they feel today and if your main sprinter is -4 it's hard to win. Better way is take also nr. 2 or 3 sprinter who's morale or +4 (or +5)..he will be achive decent result.
Same things on the hilll when atacks starts..and you notice that leader protector is feeling good...then let him try.
As I started that all was weird now am stating to like it. That makes game even more intresting.
As it is my first season with Predictor-Lotto I play with normal (no complaining so far ..hard enough)
