The favourites according to the experts are as follows but the only way to know who wins this is to watch and we're about to provide you with the best coverage money can't buy!
Here we go! 254.4km of hell. As usual, the weather looking a little ominous.
The first attacks come instantly as the riders cover the first early cobbled sector. What a colourful puzzle piece of a jersey that is on the shoulders of Hoole.
We're already 40kms into the race and the breakaway has really struggled to establish as teams don't seem too comfortable with too many riders going up the road. However, we do have a group of 11 riders with a 1'08 gap. No one of too much threat.

After keeping a high pace initially to avoid further attacks, the Peloton did slow somewhat as the gap grew to 3'30 but it's back to 3'08 as the real cobbles begin with the 4.5km section from Troisvilles - Viesly. 170km to go!
It's going to be a long day in the saddle for many of these riders who are being dropped off the back at a consistent rate with still well over 150km of racing remaining.
Tinkoff and Grieg sharing the majority of the pace making in the 120 man Peloton at the moment. 145km to go and the gap to the 9 man breakaway is 2'53.
Soon after this we start to see some attacks from the Peloton. Still a very long way to go. The 2 riders are Kortsidakis and Kulppi.
Salzmann joins these 2 and we have a trio who are 1'11 ahead of the Peloton while only 1'08 behind the breakaway. An interesting attack for sure!
2 of the 3 are successful in making it to the front group. Unfortunately for Kulppi, he punctured on the way. The gap from the front 11 is 1'58 to Kulppi and another attacker in Karatzios who are 33 seconds clear of the Peloton.
Less than 100km to go now and our leading group on the road is down to 7 riders. The gap is 1'49 to the Peloton.

Well. 77km to go and we don't have a breakaway anymore. What we do have is a Peloton of only 40 riders! The reason for this is Sulimov who set a ferocious pace at the front till he couldn't anymore and passed on the reigns to his team mate Zubov. Job done for them.
68km to go and our front group is down to a pretty select 28 riders! Let's see who's here.
Wisniowski, Peng
Spengler, Bohli, Grand
Pedersen, Laporte, Van Gestel
Kamyshev, Senechal
Altur
Gerts
Summerhill
Zepuntke
Teunissen, Potts
Kasperkiewicz, Ferreira, Menten, Darbinyan, Van Baarle
Per
Vanbilsen

The front of the race is being ripped open here with still 51km remaining! It's Per and Pedersen who try their luck.
They can't get away though so Teunissen tries his luck. The group behind him contains only 7 riders:
Per
Pedersen
Spengler
Kamyshev
Wisniowski
Gerts
Summerhill.
40km now remaining and Teunissen has kept a gap to this group. This has prompted further action as Wisniowski accelerates to catch the Dutchman.
33km to go and Teunissen goes again. He quickly gets a 15 second gap to Wisniowski. It's a further 18 seconds to the other 6 riders.
Teunissen has a 26 second gap to Wisniowski with 25km to go. It's then a further 20 seconds to a group of 11! 5 riders have managed to bring further strength to this group. The new additions are:
Senechal
Debesay
Vanbilsen
Altur
Kasperkiewicz
Gerts is dropped with 20km remaining! It won't be a Top 10 for him today as he is currently 13th on the road.
Disaster for Tinkoff as Kamyshev punctures with 18km to go! What terrible timing.
Teunissen's time alone is over with 17.5km to go and it's now Pedersen who tries his luck.
Spengler and Per are the first to react front the group behind.
The action continues here. Only 10km to go and this is how it looks:
Per, Spengler, Vanbilsen and Debesay.

4.7km to go as we enter the track! It's looking like it'll be between the 4 of Spengler, Vanbilsen, Per and Debesay. They have a gap of 44 seconds to the other 5 riders.
2.4km for the quartet. Vanbilsen, Per, Debesay, Spengler is the order.
33 seconds, or 400m, further back the sprint has been kicked off by Kamyshev who realises it's getting desperate. The order behind him is Altur, Summerhill, Pedersen and then Wisniowski.
1.3km as Kamyshev has brought his group to within 18 seconds but it's surely too late!
900m left as the front 4 are all sprinting now! It's Vanbilsen who currently leads with Per going high.
400m and it's going to be between Per and Debesay!
It's very close on the line but David Per has won Paris - Roubaix! A great ride from Mekseb Debesay in 2nd who came oh so close to a massive upset.
Kenneth Vanbilsen takes 3rd for the PCT outfit! A race they will surely remember. Lukas Spengler is unsurprisingly 4th out of this quartet. Still a good result for him.
David Per takes the opportunity to raise his arms and celebrate as he should! He made the podium here last year after being 4th in 2020 so he's continued his improvement all the way to the top.
Summerhill is 5th ahead of Wisniowski who looks spent. Altur and Kamyshev are 7th and 8th, the latter recovering well from his unlucky puncture, with Pedersen, unable to continue his great form, just behind them in 9th.
Ignore the others around him who are all behind. It's Teunissen who rounds out our Top 10. A brave ride to animate the race and provide great entertainment for all of us.
Time for the podium celebration! A truly fantastic win for Isostar - Specialized and David Per! He becomes the first Slovenian rider to win Paris - Roubaix in the MG Era. I may need to be fact-checked here but I believe Mekseb Debesay is also the first African rider to finish on the podium in this race during the MG Era. A big congratulations also to Trans Looney Tunes taking 3rd with Kenneth Vanbilsen. A well deserved wildcard appearance.
