This should be the GC decisive stage and you can tell by looking at the profile who it suits and when we expect the action. It is worth noting that it is a downhill finish so some will definitely be looking to attack so that it doesn't come down to a reduced group sprint. The faster punchier riders heavily favoured by the bookies.
Numerous riders wanting to get into the breakaway today but the Peloton not letting up just yet.
Helme wins the first intermediate sprint. Miller is 2nd with Savini 3rd.
With 120km to go, we have an established breakaway of 6. Their gap to the Peloton is 2'52. Mottin Savini Dieteren, Helme Miller Tauber (+ 28")
Over the first Cat 4 KOM as Savini takes maximum points ahead of Taubel and Miller. The gap is 1'37 with 94km to go.
Miller then wins the 2nd of the 2 intermediate sprints. Savini is 2nd with Helme 3rd.
43km to the finish line and the riders are in the hilly final section of the stage. The gap to the Peloton is down to a minute. Only the trio of Savini, Helme and Miller remain ahead.
Helme attacks the other 2 just before the KOM and wins it.
Helme stays ahead alone through the next KOM. 34km remaining and his gap is 54 seconds.
30km and the gap is 36 seconds. The Peloton starting to become very strung out.
It's all back together with 20km remaining as the Peloton hits the base of a hill they go up twice. It's a short, sharp 2km but we'll see who has the legs to give it a go.
The climb isn't long enough to see any real attacks although a fast pace was set by Russo. Boswell and the other favourites are on his tail.
15km to go now and the front group is 29 riders with a 36 second gap back to the next group of 62 riders. The favourites all appear to be here.
The front group swells back up to 89 with 10km to go as they hit the final uphill section of the day.
It's Serrano at the front forcing the pace. Alaphilippe is closest to the Spaniard.
Craddock is next to try his luck with 6km to go but there's not a lot of uphill left. Boswell is the first to react.
2km remaining and we have a front group of 21 who will be contesting for the stage win.
No organisation of this "sprint" with 800m to go. Watson currently leads.

Serrano is 2nd. Luchshenko finishes fast for 3rd. Boswell and Molard round out the Top 5. 34 riders finish with the same time.
Warbasse moves into the GC lead but it's all going to be decided over less than 4km tomorrow as Penko is on the same time and the gap to 12th place is only 8 seconds so there are at least another 10 riders in with a chance!
Keough holds onto his lead in the Points. Helme leads and therefore has won the KOM. Rajovic looks to have the U25s won as well. McCormick now lead the Teams.
