2nd attempt after apparently not posting the thread the last time...
6 races in total for the CT teams of which 3 were C2, 1 C1 and 2 HC.
HC scoring was huge in Down Under Classic as Colombini did win their first ever MG race and this in the highest possible category for them against much stronger teams on paper. Also Caja Rural and Glanbia with decent scoring there while the Tour Down Under only saw Oktal participating and it wasn`t really rewarding with 1 pprd.
The C1 Hong Kong Challenge had some proper scoring again for the CT teams. McCormick around Boswell and Jura GIANTS around Masnada really did well there against the PCT. Also BWT Hyundai had a decent 20+ pprd scoring.
Coming to C2 the start in Gisborne GP also went to Boswell, who really enjoyed the January for McCormick even though his San Jose trip was not as strong, the scoring was alright. Here Colombini, Bianchi or Oktal did a bit better.
Tachira as biggest point race went to Glanbia around Talansky with 214 points, which is more than 20 pprd in a 10 day race and this really is something valuable. Also Caja Rural did really well here while McCormick, BNZ, Staffbase or Bordeaux got a bit from it!

In total this means McCormick leads the early ranking with 17 rd and lots of them on a high score. Same goes for Glanbia though, which are just 5 points behind, having spent 2 more race days though.
Colombini and Caja Rural fight for the best new manager spot early on, while only Jura GIANTS has a 10+ pprd and in fact the best of the division even. Though only having spent 7 race days, of which 4 actually were rather weak, they must repeat their Hong Kong performance a lot more often than the others.
At the bottom no surprise to see Tafjord and Eddie Stobart. Both not having started the season yet in January. While Tafjord will start in February, Eddie Stobart is only starting in March only.
Air New Zealand with the lowest scoring of racing teams but also Le Creuset or Bonduelle are yet to really start their season in terms of scoring for the new teams, while Podium Ambition with their Caribbean way might have a long season ahead.

US domination in the CT. Talansy and Boswell share the lead by quite a lot.
Saber in 3rd as best sprinter following his HC DUC win and as also Vliegen is up there as one of the best pure puncheurs, Colombini is flying.
Ablenado was one of the climbing highlights in Tachira with Masnada having a great Hong Kong Challenge. Vasyliv completes the climbing fraction here in the middle of the top10.
Some riders clearly go under expectations in the rankings. Kuss or Alarcon, Schlegel (or even Warbasse) might have hoped for more reward in Tachira clearly. Same for sprinters such as Krieger, which sees Tryg struggling so far.
While puncheur wise Juul Jensen or Moscon easily should have done a bit better.
Congrats to McCormick on a huge start to the season! Tachira obviously was disappointing for you and should have been around 150-200 points as well, but at least you don't crush everyone's hopes of getting past you too early on
Glanbia's 20+ PpRD in a C2 stage race are massive, surely also due to the adapted C2 scale. But I told you they might do better than expected in mountain races, although I clearly wasn't expecting them to do so in Tachira.
Colombini with a fantastic start, winning 2/3 of their one-day races in January! Looks like the Saber gamble is paying off, although he probably won't win every race this year. Still, he might keep his team in the promotion fight! Especially if Vliegen keeps punching way above his weight ^^
Caja as expected pretty high up as well after Tachira, where it already paid off having a good climber tandem. Alarcon was clearly disappointing, but Ablenado more than made up for that. We'll see how well he can do in more hilly races, but he seems to be a safe bet for long climbs. Well done so far!
BNZ, BWT and Tryg all had a rather slow - and for some certainly disappointing - start; especially Schlegel for Tryg was really bad. However, all of them have got more depth than the new teams and could move up later on.
Let's still talk about my own team. So far, 4/7 race days were really bad, and Moscon is responsible for that. Last year in PCT, he had a PpRD of more than 7.5, this year he's below 2 after 7 RDs. With no training involved and clearly weaker competition, I've got no explanation for this, I'm just really disappointed.
On the other hand, Masnada has a PpRD of more than 30 after his first 3 RDs - which was absolutely key to keep us in touch with the promotion spots early on. Had Moscon delivered some normal races, we'd actually be in 5th place now...
Having the division's highest PpRD value obviously sounds nice, but what counts in the end are the actually scored points. And that's where we already have a big gap to the Top4, and we want to close that one as fast as possible. As we're only racing in Catalunya in February, it will take some more time to get up to the podium spots, but I hope we'll end up getting there...
Thanks for the update, roturn, and hopefully next time it'll work right on the first attempt
Moscon should do better, but I still see Jura winning the division. Pleasantly surprised by Colombini so far! And sad that everyone's favourite team doesn't start racing until march.
As Fabianski said, a bit of a slow start. Edmondson didn’t perform as much as I’d hope but Vasyliv really carried for us early on. Hopefully he can continue on and the rest of the boys can continue. Still waiting on Rajovic to debut as well as some of the other new riders that we hope to do well!
Wowa wiwa. January was kind to us with 2 wins out of 4 races. Obviously still a long way to go untill the end of the season buy I’d love to keep this third place till the end. But that will probably depend on Saber, and him proving DUC wasn’t just a fluke. Vliegen really outperformed his role in the team by winning in San Jose and his 4th place in Gisborne. Saber will immediately get his opportunity to dominate the field again in February. Out of the 5 races we will participate in he gets the leading role in 3. With Wevelgem and Herning being team goals aswel. And Juarez a perfect opportunity to score big once again. Vliegen will this time around be a domestique for Betancourt in Spain but chances are that race will be just Pain for us. Thanks for the rankings and onto the next fight!
Woop woop !
10th is good! It would be nice to stay here until the end of the season, but that would require strong performances – and a bit of Gisborne luck, as opposed to San Jose wtf are we doing? -.
Quite amazed that we have the exact same points number as Bianchi. Same program, ok, but quite different results.
And I'm not too affraid for Jura, the first month might have been disappointing, but, well, 6th with only 7RD is nothing to be ashamed of.
And thanks for the update! At least as long as we're satisfied of it
@UU
Sure, pass on the hot potato of division favorite
I guess my climbers could indeed beat yours (thanks to (T)TTs), but you should do better in the sprints and the hills, so if we want to have a chance, my TTers have to do well, the sprinters have to get involved from time to time - but first and foremost Moscon has to step up his game! If Boswell continues to score well, it' won't be easy getting past you
Btw, seeing Eddie Stobart back is nice, but I' clearly hoping for more (discussion) participation by sutty then!
