Giro , Tour and Vuelta 1940

I have a question for you , where can i find some informations on which mountain passes that where used in the giro , tour and Vuelta in 1940 , if there is any information of the race at all at that time ?.
All help is welcomed on this!

Due to world war 2 and the spanish civil war, only the Giro was raced that year. Fausto Coppi won. That's all I can tell you.

Such information will be very hard to get, I can assure you. For the Tour I know where to get the mountain passes, but not Giros that are that old. sorry.

Okej , can you say where i can get the information on the mountains passes in the tour ?

Search for the Tour de France there. When you find the list of all Tours, click on the year of the Tour you want to look at the results.

Look at the stages. Those that were mountain stages will have the names of the climbs next to it.

1940 was so long ago that even Torelli's book that tells the story of the racing in each edition doesn't even mention what happened in certain stages of Tours in those years Wink

Thanks , but do you know if there is more sites of the year of 1960 - to 1998 of the mountain passes , speccialy the year from 1960 - 1975 and the year 1990 - 1998 for the giro , vuelta ?
