Why is my rider not able to follow wheels? Always loses position or gets pushed out of position by CPU riders.
With 7km to go.I am in 6th spot. Full yellow + red. Following Jacobsen and the Quickstep train. At the 2-3km mark I just drop out of position. Lose the wheel and cannot even contest the sprint. 10-15 guys get a small gap. I am blocked by other riders.
Gets even worse if I try to move my rider manually. Move left/right and you will lose spots.
Sprinters that the game doesn't deem to be good enough to slot into a superior sprint train don't get the opportunity to just decide where they want to be.
Dunno if that's the issue here, but if your sprinter is not up there among the favorites, it's been like this for years. This could be an entirely different issue though that I'm not qualified to help with.
As a general note, setting up your own sprint train is the far better option nearly every time if you get the hang of it. Even if you're lacking the leadout quality, micromanaging your position and red bar level yields more consistent results.
Thanks for the reply. After some testing I have come to the conclusion that sprints are somewhat broken (just like in most editions). Edited a DB to create an overpowered train. Still was overtaken by other teams with 2-3km to go. Feels like they have another gear that I cannot reach.
Or even stranger. KI trains just stop with 1.5km to go on certain stages.
Following the completion of various tests, I have arrived at the conclusion that sprints are in some ways flawed (just like in most editions). hacked a DB to make an overpowered version of the train. Still was passed by other teams with two to three kilometers remaining in the race. 2048
