Have I mentioned how much Cyanide sucks recently?

Well, they do...
In the DB, there are several fields that just don't work. I just found 2 more that I wasn't aware of.
I was trying to get the Scheldeprijs realistic (big race, almost always ends in a sprint), so I set 2 flags:
- To "True" the one that signals it's an important race so that decent riders would ride it
- To "False" the one that signals it's a cobbles race so they'd treat it as a flat race and not attack like mad on the cobbles sections
Both failed miserably. They attacked on the cobbles and the biggest name present was Maarten Tjallingii
I hate Cyanide

Lol, you discover that now? Most tables in the DB are outdated.
Important race was to show the race in CyM4 training (so you could see the dates of important races) where you set the peaks. It wasn't used since PCM 2006
has_cobbles was used in cym4 too (I think 3 also) to get simmed results where cobble riders won. Its irrelevant now (since there is a new sim engine)
There are lots of lots of tables, columns, rows that are outdated and not used anymore, but are still left... |

Well, i was trying different fields to see if I could find out what they do. They could at the very least update the DBs, but noooo.....
Also, why the f*** does the official editor let you edit the "has_cobbles" field if it doesn't work, then? idiotic...
I will now behave like a woman and blame you for making sense: "It's YOUR fault Ruben, you're a liar"

Well, the DB is basically one huge mess of stuff from old CyM and PCM versions |

If you put an infinite number of monkeys into a room with an infinite number of typwriters one of them will eventually re-produce the complete works of Shakespeare.
Well, at least the "monkeys" bit is applicable in reference to cyanide

If we open the CDB file that came with Cya's other 2004 game, Chaos League, how much CyM2 would we find there?

I just hope next year there is a real improvement on a lot of aspects. Cyanide need a really kick up there arse to be honest. A lot of things need to be improved. They have clicked with the graphics all they need now is to improve the actual Gameplay. Big time! |

Personally, I'm enjoying the gameplay of this year's edition. I think it's great, and that added to the fact that they've added new functionality here and there -- well, I'm happy |

I suppose its good in some sections, i should have said "In race" i think that the manager aspect is rather good and the training (apart from the development of riders skills) Stats and time trials are my worst hate about PCM. But im not going to say its a crap game. At the end of the day its the only good Cycling Game. |
