Pro Cyclist question

Yo folks,

Small question for those of you who've played pro cyclist a lot earlier. Can you start a cyclist as, say, a baroudeur/puncher, and then evolve him over time into a GC contender - is that actually possible, or are you kind of locked into a specific area once you decide, if you want to actually win things, I mean?

Yes, you can do that, Bar/Puncher then maybe add potential to Climber or Stage Racer then you're good to go. The difficult thing is to make your rider win all types of races. So with this type of rider, you're never going to win the cobbled classics.
