Thanks to the people working behind the scenes such as Abhishek, redordead, UlrichUlrichsen, nemolito...the changes slowly come into place.
The Calendar will have reduced race days this season, which not only saves some energy for the reporters but also is giving us the chance to change the divisions a bit, making it a bit more difficult as well to plan the riders.
What do we know so far:
- All 3 divisions will have a race day reduction of 7 % leading to 180/163/140 race days in 2022.
- Rider race days will reduce by the same amount
- Race Category wise the reduction takes place in PT, HC, C1, C2/C2HC combined which makes the PTHC the only category not being impacted by it.
- C2HC will merge with C2 with a new point scale being in the middle of the former two.
- PCT still has to go to C2 events, likely even a few rd more than before.
- As the reduction of race days also impacts the stat gains, the stat gain system is also adjusted. For the moment it looks like an increase by also 7 % could be working, but it needs a bit more testing. This obviously means, that the old system of .0, .5 will be a bit more tricky as we might have .0, .1, .2, .6, .7 there, but it`s obviously still easy to calculate with excel etc.
I'd love it if a side-effect was that it became possible to max a rider in CT even if it would take years..
Both sentiments worth saying twice,
But on the latter it frustrates the heck out of me that I can't max a rider who will never be PT quality without paying extortion fees to teams with 3x the cash I have so a rider can ride the only season he will ever ride in the PT. If you make it a 2 or 3 year path the PT loans would still make sense for a McNulty (or someone a step below him) but would allow me to develop lessor riders in my focus area without having to pay through the nose. Also would somewhat soften PCT to CT relegation.

Does this mean that all C2 races are compulsory for CT teams ?
Also do we have any clarity on.the question Ulrich and I raised around experience points as it is pretty important for planning purposes ?
Thanks !
C2 races are not compulsory for CT, you can select any races from C2, C1 or HC. However, it must be kept in mind, that in case of oversubscribed races, CT will receive priority over PCT for C2 races, while PCT will receive priority for C1 races. C2 teams can only participate in HC where there are free slots, i.e. less than 24 teams are participating. For C1 and available HC races, CT teams will need to provide a priority against each race, so that they can be allocated correspondingly in case of oversubscription. This will be explained further when C1/C2 selections are announced.
XP details will also be announced soon, but it is unlikely that they will change much except for compensating for the reduced rider RDs.
