Six countries get together for their national championships today. Four of the 6 are intra-team affairs. The Podium Ambition boys will fight it out in Barbados and Trinidad. Two Carlsberg riders will contest the title for Curaçao while two Los Pollos riders fight it out for the Peruvian road race and TT championships. Only in Taiwan and Sri Lanka will it be an inter-team contest.
The road race is a flat course and Hsu (Taiwan), Perera (Sri Lanka) and Matthews (Barbados) are clear favorites. In Peru Ruiz is the better sprinter but Quispe is a legend. Campbell should be the best from Trinidad while the pair from Curaçao are very evenly matched.

There are no attacks and with 2.8k to go Perera on the left and Kumara on the right are best placed. Those behind Perera include Matthews, Cannister, Peng, Ruiz, and Campbell.
Under the 1k banner Hsu has been brought to the front and is the 2nd King Power rider on the left. Mathews, Cannister, Perera and Kumara are spread over the road behind. Ruiz is a little further back and Orosco is the best placed of the Trinidadians
300 meters, the three heavy favorites, Hsu, Perera and Matthews seem to have it locked up. Cannister and Ruiz still appear to be strongly placed for their NCs. But now all 3 Trinidadians are neck and neck.
The front three secure their national titles. Cannister still looking strong. Quispe refusing to give up but looks 2nd best. Campbell has seized the edge among the Trinidadian trio.
Ruiz, Cannister and Campbell secure their titles.
No surprises in the road race.

The favorites show up as:
The top two are both Sri Lankans, so that should be a good battle. The next 4 all have a clear advantage: Vanderpool (Barbados), Peng (Taiwan) Campbell (Trinidad and Tobago) and Sulvaran (Curaçao). For the Peruvian TT championship, it will be a tight battle to be the least terrible of the pair.
Quispe is the earliest “favorite” on the course.
But he was almost a minute behind Ruiz at the final time check. So not looking good for him.
Hsu was 23 seconds ahead of Peng and 42 seconds ahead of Feng at the final time check. So maybe the first upset of these championships.
No upset in the Curaçao competition. Sulvaran over 2 minutes up at the time check. So he will get the TT jersey and split the spoils with his teammate.
Campbell just set the fastest time at the final check. He is well ahead and will add the Trinidad and Tobago TT jersey to his one from the road race.
Ranaweera bests that time and is the new overall leader, he will have to wait for a time for Rajapakshage, who is behind him on the road, to see how things stand in the Sri Lankan race.
Soon after we get a time update, Ranaweera has 6 seconds on his rival at the final time check. That one will be close.
Ruiz finishes ahead of Quipse. He is the double Peruvian champion.
Feng was unable to close the gap on Hsu and the next to finish is Peng.
He is 45 seconds down. Hsu is also a double champion.
Vanderpool is completing the course now. He is well ahead and will be the Barbadian champion.
Rajapakshage is last man on the course and his ride will determine the last title awarded. He needed to make up 6 seconds in the final segment of the race.
He can’t do it, he is 16 seconds down. Ranaweera will wear the Sri Lankan TT jersey.
