It’s Crabbe vs Tinkoff, with the latter being heavily favorite. But can they convert?

This is rough! On the third cobble stretch of the day, top favorite Sulimov has a puncture! Tsatevich leads a group including Nych and Zubov, while Manakov and Kurianov struggle to keep up.
Manakov recovers and is the first to react when Zubov attacks. Still 18 kilometers and one more cobble stretch to go.
Before we get there, and after the previous move was neutralized, Nych attacks and, having led this group for the last kilometers, Tsatevich can’t keep up.
Maybe Nych needed to try something before the cobbles, but it was not successful and he loses touch. Zubov has to leave Manakov behind if he wants to win here, given the latter’s strong sprint.
But Manakov manages to hang on …
… and as expected wins the sprint easily. Certainly an upset, albeit helped along by Sulimov’s bad luck.

Russian Championships - ITT
We have an open competition, but likely only on the individual level. After losing out on the road title, it would be a shock if Tinkoff let the TT title slip as well.
Vlasov sets a very strong early time.
So strong in fact that teammate Zakarin, one of the top favorites, can’t beat it!
And Kritskiy falls short, too.
Razumov finishes below expectations, ultimately ending up in 6th place.
Vorobev can’t beat Vlasov either, who has only one rider left to overcome …
… but that final rider on the road is the one who’s faster today. Yatsevich is the new Russian TT champ!
