There’s one clear favorite and that’s of course Lecuisinier. It would be a major surprise to see him walk away without the title.

We’re still on the penultimate climb but the group has already been reduced to around 25 riders. Latour decides that this is a good time to attack. Bardet and Bernard follow.
Lecuisinier joined them, but over the top of the climb, Champoussin and Demare have controlled the gap to the point that the attackers are about to be caught again.
Under the 5km banner, Champoussin attacks. Lecuisinier is poorly positioned towards the back of the group.
That attack was not successful, now it's Latour, Bernard and Bardet again. Lecuisinier tries to move up on the left but gets blocked.
But just in time for the final kilometer, he makes it to the front and immediately attacks, a big acceleration!
Demare tried to follow but at the 10% stretch towards the finish, he can’t keep up. Pinot and Bernard are closest …
… but Lecuisinier is strong enough - the expected winner takes it.

French Championships - ITT
A ton of strong time trialists here.
Bernaudeau sets a good early time of 1h03’04.
Thomas beats it by 12 seconds.
Cavagna falls behind both of them.
Lecuisinier attempts to do the double, but it’s not his day. 4 seconds behind Thomas.
Mottin is faster than the Tour de France winner by less than a second, still not enough to take first place.
Thomas has secured himself a medal as his teammate Cosnefroy drops behind even Cavagna.
Viennet then tops the leaderboard by over half a minute!
But Paillot won’t be denied today, he is another half a minute faster. A convincing win for the Farfetch rider.
