Can anyone tell me which betting sites are good? I have decided to spend some money on betting on Le Tour, primarily to make the sprint stages more exciting, but I don't know where to start. I have never betted before. I have looked a little at unibet.com (of course), but are there any other sites I should have a look at? |

this is how a bunch of friends of mine started. about twelve.
I was the only one who refused to bet for fear of becoming addicted. they all are. it's unbelievably addictive to all kinds of people. always the same...losing bucketloads...and always looking for more money...just to throw it away...pathetic...intelligent people too...
anyway, bwin.com is where you should throw your life away
seriously, it seems to be where everyone bets...

Unibet is one of the best sites when it comes to cycing betting. I play at Bet24 though because it's my favourite site. Expect.com is also quite good, but I think Unibet is the best place. :-)
But before you registrate at any site, I recommend that you look at this site. Its on Danish unfortunately. |

I would never recommend betting. It always come down to I'll just make one more bet, and it goes on and on and on.
I'd seriously just make one single bet. That's it, and leave it for a month, if you win or lose. Gambling can be fun, but it can ruin a life too.
Sorry about all these warnings CrueTrue, but I've also seen people throw their money away to gambling, which is why I never will unless its a gamble with my friend involving large quantities of lager

I have betted once, I won and I never betted again. That's now three years ago. Now, I'll try again, stop, wait some years and try again Believe me, I'm too greedy to do this. I can't stand the thought of me wasting money. |

Yes, but then what if you're greed then transforms into the gambling - e.g. I can win millions if I bet on X.

the point is him betting what he doesn't have...
"when your entire net worth isn't much....it's so much fun to just bet TWICE THAT on the outcome of the Super Bowl, then sit in front of the TV drunk while you watch the game....trust me...now there's a thrill..."

So, this my bet - what do you think?
Robbie McEwan - Oscar Freire 1 1.16
Francisco J. Ventoso - Sebastian Chavanel 1 1.65
Tom Boonen - Danielle Bennati 1 1.68
Gert Steegmans - Claudio Corioni 1 1.85
Inaki Isasi - Tomas Vaitkus 1 1.90
Total odds: 11,32
In my opinion, pretty safe bets. Freire is injured, Ventoso seems up for the challenge, Boonen -- well, I think he'll be there, Steegmans is always right behind Boonen and Isasi is a much better sprinter than Vaitkus. On the other hand, Vaitkus did do a pretty good TT today (hadn't thought of that before now) |

that's for tomorrow's stage? except for the last one, looks solid. of course....you're going to lose. despite being the most likely things...they won't all go the likely way
we'll find out tomorrow, won't we?
can you believe they had Zabriskie vs. O'Grady for the prologue today over at Unibet.com? O'Grady is good in prologues, but...let's not get carried away...

I will probably lose, but it's funny as long as it lasts
By the way, this is a screenshot of a Danish user's bet:

Now, how sad is that? He could have won 3300 € |

I just burst out laughing. why? because a lot of those bets I wouldn't know which way to bet...but Casar vs. Arvesen in a short time trial is for me a no-brainer which he somehow managed to miss
still...Kudos for getting most right...
