Will Swift be able to stretch out his lead today? Will someone else take it off him? The big question is will the likes of Degenkolb or Grosu be able to make up for yesterday's disaster? We'll be able to answer all of these questions in 198km time.
Knotten is on his own as he wins the first intermediate sprint of the day only 21km into the stage.
It takes a long time but with 125km to go we have a breakaway of 5 who have a gap of 2'42.
Boros
Otruba
Filutas
Verwilst
Mundle
The gap is 3'14 with 100km to go. Quite the day here in the Rainbow Nation.
Otruba wins the 2nd of the intermediate sprints today. The breakaway's gap to the Peloton is still 2'10 with 55km to the line.
Less than 20km to go and the Peloton has split for now with a front group of 25 including the GC leader and most top sprinters. The breakaway benefits from the late uphill sections as the gap is 52 seconds.
10km to go. The gap to the breakaway is now only 23 seconds and the Peloton is back together again.
5km to go and it's all back together. Nothing formed here in terms of trains but the top sprinters are all where they need to be.
Not looking too good for any of the sprinters not in the trains as we have 2.5km to go. Swift, Vesely, Coquard and Zabel are not where they need to be!
The sprint does open pretty early though. With 2km to go we have 2 trains:
Baska
Steimle
Degenkolb
Demare
Manninen
Bertilsson
Enger
Grosu
Halvorsen
Liu
Grosu goes first as they head under the kite.
600m to go and Grosu is still in the lead. Demare coming up on his right shoulder with Liu just behind him. Degenkolb still going well on the left-hand side.
200m and Grosu is slowing and is unlikely to be able to hold on here. Demare looking the most likely to come through for the win.
But it's John Degenkolb who took the most speed into the final 100m and wins it on the line ahead of Demare. Liu is 3rd.
Enger is 4th ahead of a surprising Bertilsson in 5th. Manninen is 6th, Grosu 7th and Halvorsen 8th.
Baska holds on for 9th while Coquard leads home the rest in 10th and ensures no time gaps between the first 8 and the Peloton.
Demare is our new Race Leader by a single second ahead of Degenkolb and Swift.
Demare also leads the Points. Enger's consistency has him in 2nd.
No change in the KOM so it's still Tratnik who leads.
Halvorsen moves into the lead in the U25s.
Popo4Ever are the leading Team.
