Last and what should be the decisive stage! The gaps in the hill stage were not big and that keeps things finely balanced in the GC. There are numerous riders who are capable of winning today's stage and even take the GC win. Let's see how it pans out...

Robert is the first rider we pick up. He clocks 11'54" in the first intermediate, 21'41" in the secid
intermediate, 33'57" in the third intermediate and 46'43" at the finish, all fastest times.
Marchewka improvs the best times by 2, 5, 9 and 21 seconds respectively, at each intermediate.
Laizer is 9 seconds off at the first intermediate. He improves just slightly in the second but has a bad third sector. He does improve in the final sector but ends up 12 seconds down.
Campenaerts is 8 seconds slower at the first check. He matches Marchewka in the second sector but isn't able to hold that form for the rest of the stage and loses 18 seconds.
Sterbini, another Los Pollos time-trialist, is out on track now. He is down on the first split but makes up almost all of it to be 1 second slower at the second. He loses another 5 seconds in the third sector and can only make up 1 of that in the final one.
Gonzalez Salas is on a hot run and posts the fastest time at each intermediate to finish with the time of 46'13".
Kittel is down by 2 seconds at the first split. He speeds up and takes the lead at the second and keeps the lead till the line. His leading time was 46'11".
Krigbaum is consisten but can't quite challenge the best times. He ends up 17 seconds down.
Stokbro is just a second down at the first split. He goes down by 3 seconds at the second check but makes that up in the third. He ties Kittel's best time at the line.
Fraile is one of the favourites for this stage and the GC. He can't quite go to the top. He loses 18 seconds at the finish.
Zmorka puts the hammer down and lives up to his top favourite billing. He posts the best time at each split and smashes the 46 minute barrier to clock a time of 45'36".
Viviani doesn't have a good day and loses 51 seconds.
Neither does Fiedler who loses almost a minute.
Viennet follows suit, losing 59 seconds.
The trend continues with Durbridge, who is 1'28" slower...
...and Oliveira also losing 1'7".
We're into the Top 10 now...
Cataford can't quite get it together and loses 1'13".
Ballerini loses 6'45".
Perera loses more than 8 minutes.
Silva is slower by 4'46".
Lammertink isn't at his best either. He loses 45 seconds today.
Eiking isn't great at this and loses over 5 minutes.
Same with Prevar, who loses more than 6 minutes.
Coppel loses major chunks of time in the first and third sectors to be 1'7" down on the day.
Edmondson loses close to 6 minutes.
Cosnefroy cannot quite make it stick and loses 1'51" which is too much time lost to keep his jersey!
Today's winner - Marlen Zmorka.
Zmorka smashes the competition to take the win today and make up for his time loss on Stage 3. Kittel finishes 2nd with Sterobo getting a great 3rd place.

Lammertink's 5th place on the day is good enough to get him the GC win! Coppel's consistency gets him 2nd. Viviani is just a second behind in 3rd. Zmorka's excellent ride moves him up to 4th. None of Fiedler, Viennet, Cosnefroy, Oliveira and Cataford had a particularly great day but remain in the Top 10 in the GC. Daniel has a quietly decent ride to get the final Top 10 spot.
