Tour de Langkawi
Since 2008 Tour de Langkawi has been part of the MG calendar and this year will be the 15th edition of the race. The race will start with a short prolouge, then it'll be time for the sprinters to shine before the final few stages being the ones that will decide who will be the 2022 winner. 2016 winner Martin Hacecký will be returning to the field, but he's not projected to be a factor in this year's edition though. We won't see the top 3 from last year's edition as Warbasse, Keinath and Pinot compete for either WT or PCT teams and as this is C2HC race, only CT teams compete in it. Sepp Kuss is the best placed rider from last year's race that will compete here this year.
| FL | MO | HI | ST | RS | PL | Mas | 69 | 78 | 77 | 74 | 74 | 68 | Azman | 69 | 76 | 77 | 69 | 72 | 64 | Elissonde | 66 | 78 | 73 | 76 | 77 | 63 | Schultz | 68 | 76 | 76 | 74 | 80 | 64 | Kozhatayev | 74 | 77 | 74 | 71 | 75 | 72 | Borisavljevic | 68 | 77 | 73 | 74 | 74 | 74 | Martin | 66 | 78 | 73 | 71 | 72 | 67 | Salinas | 69 | 77 | 73 | 74 | 74 | 71 | Kuss | 68 | 78 | 71 | 74 | 76 | 65 | Ratiy | 65 | 79 | 69 | 69 | 72 | 73 | Henao | 65 | 76 | 76 | 71 | 73 | 64 | Iino | 68 | 77 | 73 | 73 | 72 | 68 |
Mas has been spectacular for promotion hopefuls Aramco DP and will be looking to continue his top form in Malaysia, where he'll be supported by Borisavljevic, who is the team's backup option if things with Mas go awry. His challengers will be again familiar faces and they, along with Mas and Borisavljevic made a trip to Georgia not a while ago for the Skartvelo Trophy such as Kozhatayev, Martin and Salinas. Kuss didn't made the trip to the Caucasus, but he's one of the favorites for the race as well, same goes for Schultz and Azman. Ratiy, Henao and Iino could also throw a wrench in the plans of the top favorites.
| FL | PL | Keough | 73 | 80 | Cruz | 75 | 78 | Mottin | 68 | 78 | Borisavljevic | 68 | 74 | Pavlic | 69 | 74 | Vanderbiest | 73 | 73 | Ratiy | 65 | 73 | Herrada | 66 | 73 | Walscheid | 71 | 73 | Heymes | 67 | 73 |
The opening stage is a short prolouge, but it could give a vital advantage in the GC battle as well. Here, we see Borisavljevic and Ratiy in the Top 10 based on their PL stat. Keough by far has the highest PL stat, but nothing is guaranteed.
| FL | RS | RC | SP | AC | Selig | 71 | 68 | 76 | 79 | 81 | Keough | 73 | 73 | 73 | 79 | 79 | Bennett | 71 | 68 | 80 | 79 | 79 | Losch | 73 | 68 | 75 | 78 | 79 | Prasad | 74 | 74 | 80 | 77 | 79 | McEvoy | 70 | 70 | 71 | 75 | 79 | Marin | 74 | 73 | 76 | 78 | 78 | Redecker | 73 | 67 | 79 | 77 | 78 | Bouhanni | 74 | 69 | 74 | 80 | 77 | Drapac | 70 | 63 | 73 | 79 | 77 |
The first few stages after the prolouge are entirely flat, meaning that this will be a sprinters territory. There are dozen of sprinters that can have a chance at success, but bookies have selected these 10 sprinters to fight for the stage wins. Among those are Track Betonexpressz GP Selig, Uppsala Classic winner Losch, while guys like Bennett, Keough and Bouhanni were successful in other sprint stages.
Who will win in Langkawi, we'll find out as LPHSN and their reporter Nemolito will cover the race in its entirety.

Thanks Ivan, number of sticks in the fire here for Glanbia.
This is Dan Martin's final race (ever ?) . Can he go out in a blaze of glory? Brandt is also here and capable of grabbing some points
We won two Time Trials here in 2019 so hoping Cruz or Downey can keep up that tradition.
Finally, Sam Bennett is here as a sole sprinter. He has been overshadowed this year so this is an opportunity for him to show what he can do. Hopefully no lead-out and no internal competition for the sprinter

Thanks for making a great preview, Ivan.
Expect the reports to be uploaded on a not so very fixed time schedule, as I'll be on vacation Should be able to upload one stage a day though.

Time for us to finally win a Stage Race with Mountains in it. Mas has done well this season but he’s always been a few places away from a Win. He should be able to right this wrong with the support of Borisavljevic who himself would otherwise be contesting for the win.
Let’s hope for the best and good luck to everyone here! Thanks for the great preview too

Going to be exciting to see if Elissonde can make put up a good result and lose too much time on the short prologue. If he outplaces Mas it would be a monstrous advantage in our battle for first with Aramco in CT Standings!
Also interesting to see if Redecker can get anything from the sprints, bring it on!
Thanks for a great preview!

Big one for McCormick, with Keough and Kuss both present. They were both good last year.
Prologue might be a little too long but feel like Keough is due for a good day. Then the sprint lottery.
Much more important is the GC battle, got aggressive with a top 5 goal here based on last year, it is definitely doable but by no means a lock.
Thanks for the preview.

Well it’s good to see one of my guys on the favourites list. Let’s go Schultz!! Keen to see Schleck here as well.hopefully there is no confusion that Schultz is the leader though.
Weber will be interesting to watch in the sprints too

Congrats to Ulrich, lets hope that Keough stays competitive in the sprints.
Happy to see a relatively decent prolouge from Elissonde limiting the losses to Mas at like 14".
Thanks for the report!

Nice stuff from Keough, he proves 5k doesn't have to be too long and hopefully can sprint well enough to keep the jersey a day or two.
Kuss' losses are manageable and great to see Januskevicius grab white, hopefully he can hand that off to Revard or McNulty later.
Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the report and glad a favourite win it!
Strange from our 2 as Mas seemingly very much over-performed while Borisavljevic was a bit disappointing. Solid enough start from them though.

Not great positioning from Keough, he needs a least one strong sprint result to maintain a run at green but good to have the leader's jersey another day.
Congrats to Glanbia and Bennett on a well taken sprint.

Nice! That was overdue for Bennett, hope he can keep going for green Jersey now.
Well done to Ulrich too for stage 1.
Very good Prologue for Dan Martin too which will hopefully mean something at the end!
Thanks for the reports
