Another stage which could go to the Climbers or Puncheurs as the top 3 favourites are Lecuisinier, who will be looking to further open up the gap at the top, Yates and Demare who has dominated the Hills in the last week. The slow incline up to the Category 3 Col de Grosse Pierre shouldn't be too troublesome but the finishing climb may prove to be a little too tough for the Puncheurs.
Pinot (17th @ 7'09) is one of many riders looking to get into the breakaway. Not too sure the Peloton will be overly happy about this.
Still early on here but we have a group of 5 with a gap of 3'04 back to the Peloton. Pinot was able to get away and may have hopes to gain back time today. He is joined by Tratnik, Pedrero, Xandri and Tesfom.
No contest in the sprint between our breakaway riders. They do take all available points so there are no scraps for the Peloton today. 127km remaining today and the gap is 6'17.
100km and the breakaway about to begin the Cat 3 climb. Their gap was out to 7 minutes but the Peloton has picked up the pace and the gap is back to 6 minutes again.
Tratnik takes maximum points at the KOM although he wasn't really contested.
The breakaway still has 70km of rollercoaster type terrain ahead of them. Their gap is down to 5 minutes now.
Tratnik wins the KOM over the short but sharp Col du Mont de Fourche. This takes him to 8th in the race for the Polka Dots.
40km remaining now and the gap is down to 3'43. This could really go either way for our leaders.
10km further down the road and the gap 3'03.
The Peloton starting to split up but all the GC riders are where they need to be up the front-end of the Peloton. Demare is in this second group on the road though so he clearly doesn't appear to fancy his chances on today's finish.
Still touch and go for our 5 leaders as their gap is down to 2'06 as they pass through the 20km to go banner.
The gap still at the 2 minute mark as the Peloton has been whittled down to few domestiques. Up front though, Tratnik and Pinot attack their breakaway companions. Pedrero is only a few seconds back with Xandri just behind him.
Pinot attacks as the leading trio are about to go under the banner indicating 5km to the finish line. Their gap is over 2 minutes.
3km remaining for the Peloton and we're well into the final climb now. Yates is the first to up the pace. He has Bennett in his wheel and many others are very attentive.
Pinot only has 1.7km left to make himself a stage winner but his gap is down to 1 minute so he'll have to do well to hold off the charge.
2km for the favourites as Chiarello (8th @ + 1'59) launches the next attack.
Bennett (16th @ 6'38) and Barguil (15th @ 4'29) are the first to react.
Eastman, Lecuisinier and Sicard are the next trio to go off in pursuit.
800m for Pinot but he now has Chiarello with him who is looking very strong.
It appears the Frenchman was holding something in the tank!! Thibaut Pinot hasn't had the best time of it in the Mountains so far but he wins Stage 14!
Chiarello misses out on the stage win as he is 2nd but with the same time so he'll make gains in the GC.
+ 17" for Barguil in 3rd on the stage, just ahead of Bennett.
+ 37" for Eastman who just takes 5th ahead of Lecuisinier. Sicard is also with these 2.
Yates is the best of the rest for 8th ahead of Roglic and Olivier. Hirt finishes in this quartet at + 57". Choi is gapped on the line and given + 1'11.
Pluchkin is only 14th today. + 1'32 not great for him.
Kritskiy and Godoy are next on the road. + 1'43 for them.
All in all, not a bad day for Lecuisinier who now only has Sicard within a minute at + 48". The big mover is Chiarello who is up to 4th.
Demare will be happy to see different stage winners as this means little threat to Green.
Bardet sees no dent into his KOM lead.
Inkelaar with an even larger gap against the other Young riders.
Isostar maintain their lead in the Teams.
