We end the first week of le Tour with a short, flat stage which is the last real opportunity for the pure sprinters before the finale so they'll want to make the most of this one. For the GC riders, it's a chance to rest the legs before the Mountains tomorrow but also make sure they stay out of trouble.
Only a 2 man breakaway today. It's Tesfaye Heyi and Valter.
There's a breakdown in communication between the leading duo and they are caught by the Peloton. It's then an unusual situation as an Amaysim trio go on the attack with Hindley, Christensen and Bayly.
Contreras wins the sprint at the front of the Peloton which means only 1 point for Houle.
50km and the gap for the leaders is down to within 2 minutes.
25km to go and everything is back together. This should be a regulation sprint from here.
A high pace by Olivier at the front has got the Peloton stretched out and splitting in places with 12km to go.
We fast forward to 3.3km to go. Groenewegen is the only one here with any support as his team takes the lead through the middle. The majority of other sprinters choosing the train of riders on the left which is led by Lo Cicero. Scully and Houle in the middle not badly positioned but with no wheel to follow at the moment.
2.5km and it's now just one long line of riders. Groenewegen still has 2 riders in front of him. Worth noting that the Peloton down to only 58 riders but all of the Top 20 in the GC are safely here.
Kamberaj and Lo Cicero have gone early with still 900m to the line.
300m to go for the aforementioned duo but they have Groenewegen and a number of other riders closing down on them!
But they hold on and Kamberaj makes it stage win number 2 for him! Lo Cicero is just beaten on the line and has to settle for 2nd.
Groenewegen is 3rd. Van Poppel then 4th ahead of Cisse and Demare.
Demare will be in Yellow for at least 1 more day after no changes to the Top 20 today.
Demare still leads the Points too but Kamberaj has closed the gap to 11 points.
Bardet will be eyeing up tomorrow's stage after no KOM points were dished out today.
Inkelaar remains in white after no changes there today either.
Xero Racing take the lead in the Teams after some splits in the Peloton caught out much of the Project: Africa depth.
