Similar length to yesterday's stage but not nearly as difficult. No KOM points available which tells you all you really need to know although the finish appears to be on a uphill slope.
This shot of the front of the Peloton early on tells you all you need to know about the opening stages here. A lot of riders want to be in the breakaway today but the Peloton isn't too on board with the idea.
Still 140km left in the stage as we have a settled 9 man breakaway with an early lead of 3'07 over the Peloton.
Hahessy, Haas
Szarka, Sakalou
Ngandamba
Molard, Palini
Putti
Marryatt
Palini wins the first intermediate sprint ahead of (Glanbia) Haas. The gap to the Peloton stretched out to over 4 minutes but is back down to 3'12 with 100km to go.
50km to go for the Peloton and they have the gap down to under 2 minutes.
30km now and the gap is 1'13 as the breakaway riders look to up the pace up front through a flurry of unsuccessful attacks.
Only 15km to go now and all but 3 of the escapees have been swept up by the Peloton. Palini, Haas and Putti are still ahead with a 44 second gap.
The breakaway is caught just as an attack is launched by some of the favourites with 7.5km to go. It's Skujins who launches it with Bobridge in his wheel. Others are following closely!
3.3km and it's all back together although I don't know how long this peace will last.
The answer is not long at all! It's Borges driving forward with the latest acceleration. Hagen the closest suitor.
Under the kite and it's going to be a sprint between the favourites although Eiking is very poorly positioned!
Kelderman looks the strongest with 400m to go.
Moscon looking good though as we approach the line. The Project: Africa riders flying up behind as well.
Moscon just wins it!
Kelderman is 2nd. Seibeb just pips his team leader, Bobridge for 3rd while Eiking came from deep but with good speed for 5th.
No change in Yellow but 3 riders now with the same time. The first 147 riders all ending today with the same time.
Eiking still leads the Points.
Robov remains in the KOM jersey after no points were available today.
Oliveira keeps his lead in the U25s.
Zalgiris maintain their lead in the Teams.
