We begin 9 days in Switzerland with a pretty flat 8km prologue.
A great opportunity for the below riders to get themselves a stage win and claim the first Leaders jersey of the race.
Oliveira is the first strong Prologue rider on the road and he sets the early leading time of 10'13.
Scotson thrashes this with a time of 10'02.
Yatsevich puts in the exact same time but is judged to be 2nd.
Vlatos is the first to beat this with 10'00.
Schomber is only good enough for 7th + 12".
We wait a long time for another good ride. Unsurprisingly it comes from Fraile who goes + 2".
Enger goes + 8".
Larsen is strong for + 5".
Chavanne can only manage 6th at + 7".
Leung struggles a bit with the mild uphill and ends up + 10".
Durbridge is 9th at the first checkpoint but comes through 5th at the finish, + 4" for the Australian.
Ganna will be disappointed with his efforts today as he only manages 10th at + 10".
Haig was 14th through the first sector but comes through 5th at + 4".
Andersen is on form today and he shows his class with a time of 9'53 which should be a stage win for the Dane.
Taaramäe is 9th which means 3 seconds behind Haig.
Cattaneo is the last rider on the road and it's not his day as he is 21st. 9 seconds between him and Haig.
And our Stage Winner who was well clear of everyone else is Soren Kragh Andersen. Vlatos would have been expected to do well and will settle with 2nd. The surprise of the day coming from Scotson in 3rd who also wears White going into Stage 2.
