for me this can be no other than Michael Rogers, ok he had a couple of world champ TT wins but the level of competition there was poor, outside of this he has done nothing worth writing about and still he is considered a contender...what does anyone else think |

I think the fact that he's been working on his climbing has damaged his TT ability. pretty normal and happens to many. Zabriskie, for instance. I'd bet on him for a top 10, and think he's capable of top 5 overall this year. provided he's past his injuries.
overrated...uhm....Mayo?
probably Bernhard Kohl. how people think that guy is a very good climber is beyond me.

underrated; hmm; after the first tdf stages i'd say romaine feillu! never heard of him before. he has an enourmous end speed. yesterday for example he took the wheel of mcewen and beat him! |

what I like most about him is not his end speed, which is reasonable. it's his attitude. reminds me of Voigt. count on seeing him in breakaways in a few stages this year. he never gives up, and has such a fight in him.
also, he's pretty decent on the climbs too

you don't think Sastre is that good? I definitely do.
as for my opinion:
most underrated -> Christian Vande Velde

In oposite way..both has shown a great results already thrue his careers..Boonen is young fellow we gonna hear about him moore. Sastre - cant understand why he is named as chit-chat fellow. Last year Tdf showed that he handled well..new assigment to be a leader. |

conserning rasmussen:
i often heard he is "the best climber", because, as you said, he won 2 polka dots... don't get me wrong, he is a good rider and a very good climber, but i cannot remember him keeping up with the really big climbers in the end, he makes 1 or 2 big long escapes when he is allready no threat on gc anymore..
so, for me, he is overrated |

exactly. I've seen him keep up only once: one stage in the 2003 Vuelta. nowhere else. |
