A nice short, flat stage for the sprinters and an opportunity for the GC riders to get a rest before tomorrow's finale.
It's the same list of favourites as our other sprint stage. The question will be, can the lead-out trains deliver another stage win for their leaders?
It takes a long time but with 80km remaining we finally have an established breakaway of 6 with a 3'05 gap back to the Peloton.
Seibeb
Balloni
Nareklishvili, Leknessund
Kaislavuo
Wibisono
50km to go and we're on the circuit part of this one now. Their gap is 4'57 so they may well hold on here!
This explains the pace back in the Peloton as Popo4Ever don't care for the stage win.
22km remaining and the gap is 8'07. You'll hardly believe this one as the breakaway has almost caught up to the back of the Peloton on this 8km lap.
It's a bit of a mess as the breakaway catches up to the front of the Peloton with 12km to go but now the Peloton is speeding up. The gap is 9'41. Seibeb is 13'43 behind in the GC so he could make some good gains here.
5km kite reached by the breakaway and we are seeing attacks. Interestingly it's Kaislavuo who looks to be the best sprinter on paper but maybe doesn't fancy the Zalgiris duo.
1km now and Kaislavuo is still ahead. The breakaway is sprinting now though after a lead-out from Nareklishvili.
Kaislavuo makes a hash of it and realises too late that the others were catching him!! Leknessund does benefit from having a team mate and takes the stage win! Balloni and Seibeb complete the podium. The latter moves up to 17th in the GC after his efforts today!
They may only be sprinting for 7th but the teams set up their trains anyway. Always good to develop habits and get some practice in.
Coutinho wins it ahead of Manarelli, Boudat and Van der Sande.
