Hi all
Im in need of another activation since I have tested different DB's and reinstalled the game 3 times. What is the procedure for getting these new activations? How long should i expect to wait for them? Anyone who have experience with this is more than welcome to elaborate.
Thanks!

E-Mail the game's distributor. In this case I believe it's focus, explain the situation and ask for more activations. I'm not 100% it's focus, but I'm almost sure.
As for waiting time, it's completely random. Might have them tomorrow, might have them in 2 weeks. very random.

The e-mail address is listed in the e-mail you received when you bought the game. It should be something like . |

when you got your original activations there was an email address on the bottom. Then wait a week or two and then you will have them.

There are other ways too.
After you deinstalled your game you should receive an deactivation code. You can use this code to reinstall. Just enter the normal code followed by a ":" (without the quotation marks) followed by the deactivation code.
Then there is the thing I do (but is to late for you now). You can save the registration after you have activated your game the first time. In the future you can deinstall and install as often as you like, you just need to restore this registration.
How to save the registration:
1. Start -> Run... -> regedit
2. Ctrl+F -> Cyanide
3. Now it should show you something under: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
4. Right click on Cyanide -> Export
5. Save it at a save place
To restore it, you just need to double click this file. |

Also, I've found that you don't have to deactivate the license when you uninstall.
Going on memory, I think when you press 'uninstall' and the deactivation box comes up, you just press exit. The game will uninstall - but the activation will remain meaning you can uninstall and install as many times as you want on the same PC.
I discovered this on my last activation - and I think I've uninstalled and installed the game at least 3 times since then. |
