Today is the "Mountain top" finish. It really isn't much of a mountain however.
Our break of the day contained two familiar asses, Sawadogo(Benfica) and Lengyel (Sony B) Both of whom have participated in breaks earlier in the race.
The gap is 5 minutes with 50km's to go and at 14km's to go, with the start of the hill the gap is still 2'25"
Lobato is first to attack, and he is followed by Zaballa and Froome.
Ribeiro (pre stage favorite) is next to jump and no-one can follow.
Those 4 meet and pass the breakaway when Vito rodruigez attacks and joins them. Only a few kilometers to go and there is still no response from Pluchkin. His team chase
Froome can't hack it. He falls off Ribeiro's pace as Ribeiro attacks for the win!
Rodruiges is second, Lobato third and Zaballa is 4th.
Pluchkin attacks from the pack and comes in 6th behindBenfica's Marquez.
Race leader Vicioso finishes with him along with several others.
And special mention the man who set Frome up for the attack...
