We start today's race in Gippingen, the one and only stop for the CT in Switzerland. 4 laps around a 41,1 km circuit and a couple of hills that should provide some action from the favourites on the last lap.

The race started with attacks from 4 riders. They wereVitor(SLB), Downing(Procycling-BBC), Mourey (Molteni) and Maya (Champion)

The maximum advantage they got was 10 minutes with 82km to go. Right when Downing cracked and was left behind.

With 25km to go, charging up the last difficulty of the day, the break still had 4 minutes on the peloton where Hagen(B&O), Efimkin(Champion), Noval (Molteni), Roche (Procycling-BBC) and Moreno (Benfica) were trying to get clear.

Various attacks occurred but no one was able to get away.

Up front it was a different story. Vitor left Mourey and Maya behind and looked like going for a solo victory just as they started the descent towards the finish line.

It was in that same descent that Hagen (B&O), Roche (Procycling-BBC), Cioni (Gatorade), Efimkin (Champion)and Noval (Molteni) finally managed to get away, by a few hundred meters. But with 5km to go they still had Vitor up front with 45 secounds

1km to go and it looked like Vitor was going to have his greatest victory so far.

He raises his hands in glory... But this race was not over yet...

OUT OF NOWHERE COMES HAGEN AND SNATCHES THE WIN! He passed Vitor just has he was celebrating... Incredible...

What a close call!

In the battle for 3rd, Efimkin overpowered Cioni and Roche, with Daniel Moreno (Benfica),Francis Mourey (Molteni), Chris Froome (Procycling-BBC) and Andrei Grivko (B&O) filling up the other top-10 spots.
