Sorry but this game sucks........i'm sick to death of it, i have a top spec PC and everytime i get some distance into the game it crashes, ive tried each and every database, each and every setting, ive tried to simulate past places it as crashed before only for it to crash somewhere else......so it's back to football manager for me and this game is going on ebay. |

So who cares. I was not so stupid to spend much money on a top notch PC and still I play at maximum settings without any problems. Maybe you just suck in setting up an OS or you bought crappy components. |

Relax everyone.
First of all, if you want us to help by coming with suggestions on what to do, your first post isn't really the best way to start. If you didn't and just wanted to tell us how much the game sucks, why did you even bother? |

Sorry maybe original comment was strong, but i did comment in the thread for Eeyors database a few days ago,but is very frustraitng to see that a game is potentially brilliant but with so many flaws,i tried again yesterday and got as far as Milan san remo and it crashed, so simulated that race and it's played the next,i'm just waiting for the next crash and games shouldn't be like that..........don't think i'm somebody who as just picked up this game with no interest in Cycling, i played 06 and 07 no problems...also taking days off work to watch the Tour of Baritain......so sorry for any offence caused. |

Well, my question is the same, actually: Do you want us to help and try solve the problem, or will you just be frustrated with the game and complain about the crashes? I understand that it's annoying, but we can't really help you with no further details |

Using Windows Vista, latest patch 1.0.2.3....Eeyors latest database....but have tried all the others and had same problems, usually the crashes are right at the start when loading 3d stage or right at the end when they have gone over the finish line.
Tried Pepsi DB that crashed more than the others also tried Pcm Daily that crashed.
Ive tried with all settings high.....turned all settings to Minimum but made no difference,
Maybe not asked for help because have read everyone elses problems and how they have been told to fix them so have tried them myself, ive reloaded, reset, cleared Cashe etc: |

Looks good enough..08 game is more crash free then earlyer releases. I have raped that game several time..but this bastard still working..btw. I also have Vista and also your pc specification..
best thing to do ..is start over..(only way with 06 game). Unintsall..then delete all pro cyling 08 files..then install ..patch..then its time to check is it working.
When it does..then start mess with db..most of all databases wont make the game run better..oposite way..there is always a risk to use one. |

Could it be certain races, because i have just completed every stage of Paris Nice no problems....milan san remo wont play at all, then next few races ok, just tried to play game and it's a 6 stage race but none of these stages will load 3d game i can only simulate, however a one day race at the same time i can play. |

As Guido says, I'd go back and do a fresh install.
Then try and play some of the problem stages - without any kind of DB.
Then at least you know if it's a game prob or DB prob.... |

Hmm maybe the problem is caused by databases and patch, I mean that if u are using DB which is not made for your current patch it can make problems. But I m not sure about it.
And about crashes at finish line, I have Vista, 5GHz CPU 4GB RAM and GeForce 8800 and sometimes at the end game falls (annoying especially when i win stage ) |
