Hey. My pro cyclist contract ends this year, and I want to edit a new contract for the next two years.
I create a new contract in dyn_contract_cyclist, beginning the next year, and gene_b_active_contract set to 0.
Then, in dyn_cyclist, I type the idcontract_cyclist of this edited new contract under fkidnextcontract.
However, when I open the game, in the rider data tab, the end date of my guy is the end date of the new contract, which shouldn't start until next season. What's more, it shows "no contract" in "next season".
Does anybody know what other table I need to edit so all the info is correctly processed by the game?
I went along with this editing in other playthroughs and things go south eventually: season records don't show properly, rider status in the team gets screwed, etc.
I'd appreciate some help here. It's hard to believe but after so many years pro cyclist mode keeps having atrocious flaws, all the negotiations/contracts stuff is absolutely ridiculous. This game mode is unplayable without heavy editing.
Never done it, but my general recommendation for editing contracts is to wait until the season is over at the end of October. More reliable and you can immediately see if it worked or not.
Thanks guys. Indeed all the offers you receive are for 1 year. And no matter what edits you make, you'll always get your agent's message about interested teams, new offers in august, etc.
It's a shame the manager side of this game is so poorly designed. If 3d races are, to me, a 8 or so, the other part of the game is a 2 at the very best.
Anyway, this is what happens with de facto monopolies.
