Should be an interesting one! Meintjes is the favorite, but young Van Niekerk has had a terrific season and might be ready to cap it off with a title here.

Van Niekerk attacks on the penultimate hill, Meintjes follows immediately. Knowing this could be the decisive move, van Zyl tries to catch up.
Meintjes uses his superior downhill skills to create a gap. Further behind, Visser joins van Zyl in the pursuit.
The four unite on the flat and enter the final climb together. The peloton is 35 seconds behind and out of contention.
van Zyl and Van Niekerk move to the front on the left, we have yet to see an acceleration from Meintjes here.
There it is! But Van Niekerk still holds a small adavantage. van Zyl is gone, Visser holds on but can’t come around.
Van Niekerk held a small lead for the longest time, but on the final maybe 50 meters, Louis Meintjes had one final kick in him to secure the championship!

South African Championships - ITT
Morne Van Niekerk and Reinhardt Janse van Rensburg are the top favorites, it would be a surprise if anyone else could interfere in the title fight.
The man who comes closest, and thus takes bronze, is expectedly De Bod, beating Dlamini by 40 seconds. But looking over his shoulder, he can already see the two top favorites incoming.
Van Niekerk is first. Compared to other time trials, his time of 1h19’57 is terrible, but there are really strong headwinds here today. He beats De Bod by 1’19.
But that’s not enough to keep Reinhardt Janse van Rensburg behind him. The Minion takes the title by more than half a minute!
