National Road Championship of Finland, Cyprus, San Marino, Serbia and Bulgaria
Five national championships today. Serbia should see a nice battle between Roman and Borisavljevic. Helme and Henttala with a similarly interesting Finnish fight. Should be an easy win for Scarponi (San Marino) and Miltiadis (Cyprus), but Bulgaria has several decent climbers, including Panayotov and Ivanov.
Roman dropped some bombs on the first mountain, which saw most of the amateur riders dropped. We are now on the final uphill section though, and it’s Ivanov who attacks with 4 km to go!
Robov tried to catch him, but simply wasn’t strong enough. Ivanov wins the 2020 Bulgarian national road championship!
Scarponi sprints to third on the day, which means he is the 2020 San Marino national champion. Borisavljevic manages to hold off Roman, the Aramco rider is the Serbian champion!
Close call for Finland, but it’s Henttala who finishes ahead of Helme! Miltiadis takes the Cyprus NC without too much effort.

National Time Trial Championship of Finland, Cyprus, San Marino, Serbia and Bulgaria
The five first names are the favourites for their country. Will they deliver?
Easy dubski for Noia. No compatriot coming within three minutes of the Sauber rider.
Christodoulos also doing what he has to do. He beats the Cypriot road champion by almost two minutes.
And it’s a Finnish double for Henttala! He beats Helme by around 50 seconds.
Another double here, as Serbian Borisavljevic manages to hold off Roman in the time trial as well.
Stoenchev gives Adastra at least one Bulgarian title. He is the best of the day with a time of 1h03’48”.
