Isostar’s Mohoric is the clear favorite, but an illustrious group of challengers are here, too, including the Gazelle duo Furdi and Tratnik as well as former World Champion Kump with his great acceleration.

Isostar have the race under pretty firm control and separate the pros from the amateurs on the penultimate ascent. Then, with still over 11 kilometers to go, Kump attacks! Mohoric immediately jumps on his wheel to follow him.
Furdi and Tratnik try to control the situation from the group, while Svab fancies his chances and attacks to try and bridge the gap. The leading duo crosses the summit alone, though.
Svab actually reaches the two and they build a lead of 45 seconds, which prompts Pavlic to attack. He takes the two Gazelle riders, teammate Koren, and Poljanec with him.
That attack doesn’t stick, but a lot of work by Groselj brings the trio within reach just as they’re about to hit the final climb. Surprisingly, it’s now Novak who sets the pace with Roglic behind him - do they not trust Mohoric up front?
To be fair, it might not matter all that much, as the leaders are probably too far off anyway. Kump and Mohoric enter the final kilometer side by side, Svab slightly behind.
600 meters and Mohoric takes a small lead!
The tables are turning, now it’s Kump who’s just ahead! Who’s going to win this?
Marko Kump takes advantage of his mighty speed and takes the win, he’ll once again don a “special” jersey next season! Mohoric misses the icing on the cake for this so successful Isostar season by a few centimeters. Svab takes bronze with a good performance.

Slovenian Championships - ITT
Koren is the big favorite, but a deep field of challengers are just waiting to pounce on the opportunity if he has a bad day.
Roglic is the first rider on the road and immediately sets the tone with what looks like a pretty good time: 1h06’48
Groselj then comes and beats it by 38 seconds.
We also get word from the first time check that Koren did not in fact take the best time, but is 13 seconds behind Groselj there!
Pavlic was a single second behind the Swisslion rider at both time checks, and another second is added to that tally at the finish - provisional second.
Pogacar has a bright future ahead of himself, but today’s not his day yet. He’ll end up 6th though, which is a decent debut.
Penko was just 2 seconds behind Groselj and one behind Pavlic at the second time check (all 3 some 10 seconds faster than top favorite Koren), now he comes to the line almost overtaking a disappointing Per … and is 6 seconds behind Groselj! Third place at the moment for him.
That leaves only one man to finish, and that’s Koren. But he falls well short of expectations and doesn’t even get to the podium! Matic Groselj is the new Slovenian TT champion!
