This race is very open, lots of strong sprinters that are also great rouleurs, and strong rouleurs that are also decent sprinters. Carlsberg and Grieg are the dominating teams, Tryg has 8 riders present, but no real favorite.

With 5 kilometers to go, we see some attacks! Reckweg is the initiator, followed by SK Andersen, Pedersen, Kron and Ostergaard.
Eg tries to control the situation but the group still has a small gap with 3 kilometers left and Kragh Andersen is already at the front, Lander right behind him.
Pedersen with another acceleration, potentially the decisive one? 2,6 kilometers to go.
Eg manages to bring the other 4 attackers back. Lander, Guldhammer, Sobota and Ranneries are behind him, while his leader Kragh Andersen is a little off to the side. Pedersen is sprinting towards the flamme rouge, but the gap is not large enough to feel secure just yet.
With no leadouts to speak of, no sprinter wants to be the first to move and the pace drops! On the right, Cort Nielsen and Vingegaard go for it!
The two get a gap, but Pedersen, despite being on his very last legs, should have this now!
Kragh Andersen finally accelerates, but the sprinters have really blundered this.
It’s a huge surprise, but with a perfectly timed attack, Casper Pedersen takes the national title of Denmark! An early career highlight for the young sprinter!
At the very last second, Kragh Andersen moves past Cort Nielsen and Vingegaard to take second, but he won’t be happy with that. Ranneries wins the sprint from the rest of the peloton to finish fifth.

Danish Championships - TT
As is often the case in these NCs, there’s one big favorites, namely Würtz. Quaade and Hansen are the only ones who might have a shot if Würtz has a bad day.
The first decent time trialists on the road are Krigbaum and Cort Nielsen, finishing one right after the other. The Tryg rider keeps the upper hand and takes the lead by 22 seconds.
But that only holds a few minutes. Then Hansen comes in and crushes him. 1’41 faster, an easy new best time.
Eg slips into provisional third place, a single second ahead of Krigbaum.
To get an idea of how phenomenal Hansen’s time was: Top favorite Würtz was six seconds behind at the first time check and 38 at the second! He needs a fantastic last sector to win this.
Reckweg overtakes Guldhammer, but still only finishes provisional third, with at least two riders likely to overtake him.
I say at least because Norsgaard might challenge him as well, but it’s not his day and he ends up even behind Eg and Krigbaum, provisional sixth. Two riders left.
Quaade isn’t even close to Hansen, but he manages to beat Cort Nielsen to secure a medal, at least.
And then it’s time to find out which Grieg rider ends up with the jersey. Würtz comes in and he is indeed faster on the final sector, but not by enough! Lasse Norman Hansen takes the Danish ITT title!
