National Road Championships of The Philippines - Sri Lanka - Hong Kong - Taiwan
Sri Lanka and Taiwan have a favourite with Kumara and Peng, whereas Choi is Hong Kong’s favourite and Quita is looking for Philippinian glory.
22 km to go as top favourites Kumara and Peng have a small gap on the penultimate cobbled sector. Seven riders 20” behind them, Choi and Quita not there, they both have a compatriot ahead of them so need to work hard now!
Only the five Sri Lankans and Taiwanese are able to come back before the final cobbled sector. Peng immediately attacks again and has a 35” gap under the banner of the last 10 km. In the background, we see Cheung has a 30” gap over first Hong Kong follower Choi, whereas Quita and Carcueva are back together.
Peng gets caught by four chasers under the flamme rouge and needs to sprint for the Taiwan title against Feng and Hsu, whereas it’s Kumara versus Silva for the Sri Lankan title!
The sprinters try, but really don’t have the energy to compete anymore after struggling to hold on recently on the cobbles! Kumara wins the race and the Sri Lankan championship, Peng finishes just behind him and is the best Taiwanese rider today!
Choi was able to overtake Cheung, the MOL rider wins another Hong Kong championship!
Quita has been able to leave Carcueva behind, he wins the Philippines national championship! Fung, Ranaweera and Leung finish outside the time limit.

National Time Trial Championships of The Philippines - Sri Lanka - Hong Kong - Taiwan
Time to crown four national time trial champions.
Quita definitely not the best time trialist of the day, but he is one minute faster than Carcueva, which means it’s a double for the King Power rider.
Grieg grabs a title as well, as Peng is the fastest of the Taiwanese with a time of 1h05’11”. Because Peng’s name looks like Feng the organisation was confused and thought Feng was Peng, giving us images of the wrong rider.
Very close call for Sri Lanka, as Rajapakshage is five seconds faster than Ranaweera!
Hong Kong rider Leung ensures a second King Power time trial victory of the day, beating everyone else at the startlist with a time of 1h03’14”!
